I'd get something that has meaning to it. Does that thing you drew mean anything important? If not I wouldn't go with it.
P.S. It looks like a swastika as every1 else says, I'd go with something else.

There's something wrong with you.
The basic design looks exactly like a form of an inverted Swastika.
The angles of the tips are identical to the angles of the original Swastika.
From a broader perspective, it seems you may have been going for some sort of Ninja Star or flying object? (I noticed the lines around the center symbol. They can indicate movement in an image.)
Eitherway, it does look like a Nazi Swastika. Just so you know.

Just from my perspective, a tattoo should have some type of meaning before you get it. Sure there's the possibility that you may not like it as much as a cool looking design, but who knows, in 5 years you probably won't find it looks as cool as it does to you now.
At the end of the month I'm going to Florida and I was thinking of going to Miami Ink to get a tattoo. Originally I wanted a simple tribal sign or something, ya know, something that looks nice. But then I got my Gf's opinion and she made me realize that something like that has no meaning. So I have decided that I'm not gonna go with that. I'm still thinking of possibilities. What I think I'm gonna do is just go to Miami Ink and see some designs, and get some opinions from the artists on what they think I should get. They are usually good for final opinions.
So maybe check with your tattoo artist, ask them what kind of thing they recommend, sometimes they surprise you with a design you never thought of.

seriously....I may get a map of NZ (overview), have a Kiwi in the background with the word Kiwi under it as a tattoo...but if good place to put it or my calf/bicep 's get bigger L

don't worry, he won't be getting taht tatto on his hand, you can't get tattoes on your head/hands unless you are in hte tatto buisness. there is a certain point on your wrists and neck where the cut you off.

you can get them, it just depends where you go. lol, its not illegal to get them.

For one you will never get a good job working at a business or anything as it is on your hand and in plain view, it looks like a swastika which is severely racist and is linked to many criminal gangs.
Good luck being looked down upon and fucking up your life.
To the person talking about Miami Ink in Florida, that series on TV is completely false, the parlor is there but no one that is on the show is there and they do not treat you like that, when i was getting my last tattoo done the owner of my local shop was just slating it as he visited Miami ink and it was shit.
To the person talking about hand and face Tattoo's. Hand tattoo's are not illegal whatsoever, yet in most stores you need to have had at least one previous tattoo before you have one on your hand. Face Tattoo's are illegal in some Parlor's yet not all. Although within a few years they are going to become illegal.
