Saradomin Godwars Guide

By ArSeNaLfAn32 on 13/07/2008
Hello,
Obviously, you want to know how to do Saradomin Godwars. Why might someone want to go to Sara Godwars? At Saradomin Godwars, possible boss drops include a Saradomin Hilt, Market Price 90m+, and a Saradomin Sword, Market Price 9m+. You can also receive Godsword Shards which are about 250k each, nothing too special.
Before you plan to go to Saradomin Godwars, you will need 70 agility. If you do, teleport down to the dungeon with a sara/zamorak item and bring 2 ropes. Walk east once you enter the dungeon until you see a rock with a ledge and a drop off. Use your first rope on this.

Climb down this. Next, walk south in this small room and you will find an identical rock as before. Rope this one and you're now ready to do Saradomin Godwars.

(These steps you just did are 100% PERMANENT: You will never have to rope those 2 places again!) Tele out and its now time to gear up.

Suggested Stats
For Saradomin Godwars, I strongly recommend 85+ Range, 85+ Defense, 68 Summoning, and 85 Attack and Strength.
Gear: (Make sure you have a sara/ zammy item when you go in. Personally I bring zamorak vambraces with sara d'hide top. You can bring a zammy book + holy symbol (fury/glory in invy as well) Be creative, but make sure you have those god items or you will get bashed getting the kill count.

The Inventory
This is where it gets tricky. All this depends on your summon level and your budget. The more experience you have at saradomin godwars, the more skilled you will be at avoiding strong attacks from the boss. (Also decided by your team mates' skills.)
88 / 68 Summoners: Here you will take at least 5 pouches for either a Unicorn or a Bunyip. A unicorn has a special that heals 15% of your health for a cost of 20 summon points and a unicorn scroll. A bunyip will heal 8 hp a minute for no scroll, no special, ITS COMPLETELY AUTOMATIC. With these, you can take much less Saradomin Brews as you will be healing a lot. I suggest taking at least 6-8 Saradomin Brews, 10 Super Restores, 1-2 Summon Potions, your whip for kc, any god items that you brought, a teleport, bones to peaches tabs and a trollheim teleport.
67 or less summoning Inventory: 8-10 Super restores, As many saradomin Brew as you can possibly take, a teleport, bones to peaches tabs, trollheim teleport, god items, and your whip for kc.
NOTE: Some kids, including me, take full guthans along as well. I use this for the minions for healing after killing the main boss. You can sub out super restores or brew for this. Personally, I believe it helps the load a lot and conserves numerous food for the kids under 68 summoning.
There is no "best" inventory for Saradomin Godwars. Just adjust your inventory to your skill level at Sara and Defense Level. Obviously if you're new and 85 defense, be prepared to drink a lot of brew. If you're 99 defense and 88 summon and pro at sara, you might not drnk a sip of brew until 70 kills in.

Kill Count

For getting kill count, you will be killing a variety of Saradomin Priests, Spritual Warriors, Spiritual Rangers, Spiritual Mages, and Saradomin Knights. (Slayer levels required for 'spritiual monsters.' Kill these until you have 40 kill count and then check in with your team. A good strategy is to wait until you see a zamorak and saradomin type monster begin to fight each other. At this point you jump on and begin to attack so that you don't take any damage! If you are impatient, you can easily attack warriors and knights, as they both hit low and inconsistently.

The Boss
For the boss, I suggest watching this (or another) video. http://youtube.com/watch?v=sqf_3DFubPc&feature=related When you are all ready, each pick a corner. (there will be 4 of you) Have your highest defense tank enter first with pray mage on and attack the boss. He will now run around the edges of the room while everyone else enters the room (ALL WITH MAGE PRAY ON!!!) Everyone except the person the boss is chasing will now attack the boss with range USING 'LONGRANGE' STYLE.' Once everyone is in, you will all try to make a box shape around the boss. If you can successfully box her, she will be stuck in the middle of you. Let me explain below.
Commander Zilyana (sara boss) attacks who is attacking her. So if you can all make a giant square shape with her in the middle, she will keep changing targets before she actually attacks one. If you can do it right, she attacks no one and the only damage the group takes is from the minions. hash.png If she does attack you, run away FAST. Her melee attacks can hit 25-30ish and are EXTREMELY FAST. She can 3 hit people before they even realize they are being attacked. Her damage makes tanking bandos seem pathetically easy. I suggest watching videos online of this. Of course the best way to learn is by watching your team mates and self-experience of course!
The Minions
The lion-looking like minion is the mage. Bree is the ranger, and starlight is the meleer. Touching the north and south wall will get the ranger and meleer off of you.
Good luck guys!
