How I Truly Feel About WG And The Way Things Are.

By immolatus2 on 13/07/2008
first off i understand im new here, i have no say, no right's, hell im not even a true member of this clan/family yet... im not new to clan's... in my seven year's of runescape i have been through and witnessed alot... some good and some bad... but tbh the bads have out weighed the goods... im going to open up in this note and if people dont like it or dont care i understand and respect that... i have seemed to join this clan at a real pivital time... we have people coming, more going... seems things are not to stable on the wg frount... now i know people wont want to hear that but i believe instead of hiding from it that we sould speak about it... their's so many way i can go with this conversation but i do want you guys to know one thing before i begin... i respect and care for wg... the thought came to my mind to just post a leaving topic and be done with it... i felt i joined to late to make a huge or any diffrence in anything here... but then after i got to thinking ive made a few good friends here in the short time ive been here and im willing to fight this out for them and you... im not going to leave wg unless forced to leave... thats why i think wg is in the spot its in too many people just willing to give up and walk away... runescape may just be a game but to me its more, ive made life long friends here... do you turn your back on your rl friends...???... i know i dont... you know i played football in highschool and we went and won state the 4 years i was their... did i like everyone on my team hell no...!!!... but we got things taken care of when we needed to... you dont like someone here just ignore them... you dont have to talk to them or hang out with them... i have many people in my ignore bin... people bring up how were losing wars and what not, wars do not define a clan, people define a clan... wars are nice to win, it would be awsome to be considered the best clan on runescape... everyone has their time tho... i mean even zezima or whatever lost his spot as number one player on runescape... March 29, 2004 is a day no one will ever forget... rocks wouldn't change colour when there was ore present. it was much more a matter of guesswork and repetitive clicking. it wasn't until the introduction of fatigue that rocks began to show when they had ore in them. The bank in runescape classic was much more difficult to use. for example, players could only withdraw or deposit limited amounts of items at a time, so trading large amounts of items was very time-consuming. also, since only one player could talk to an npc at any given time, using the bank in crowded trading areas was very tricky. runescape classic had only 50 quests. There were 17 free quests and 33 members quests. originally, there were classe's that you choose to go along with what type of player a player could be. players would get a higher skill level to start in with it. this feature was removed in early July 2002. tutorial island was released in the following september. they were: necromancer (eventually became wizard. this focused on magic, since necromancy was the original magic) - started out with a black wizard hat and a regular staff. warrior (melee combat skills) - started out with a bronze short sword and wooden shield. miner (mining) - started out with a pick-axe, which at that time was the only type available. these were later turned into bronze pickaxes. adventurer (well rounded) - started out with a bronze axe, tinderbox, and one piece of cooked meat. all new players started with these items after the class system was removed. ranger (ranged) - started out with a shortbow and arrows. Later arrows were different types-- (bronze-rune).... yes i have Party Hats Halloween Masks Santa Hat Bunny Ears Scythe Yo-Yo Rubber Chicken Zombie Head Scarves Wooly Hats Easter Ring Jack o' Lantern Mask Reindeer Hat Wintumber Tree... dose that mean im better then anyone... no it dose not... it just shows how long ive truly been playing and how much time ive spent playing the game... the main point here is that yes things change, but friendships are forever... im going to ride and die for wg... i dont have all the time to write or say everything i want to here and i dont want to waste your time but remember one thing guys... we all make wg what it is... numbers over knowledge is a waste... teach the people like me and the other new people and then worry about new people... numbers mean nothing in a war as we have seen time and time again... ty for reading this guys... it my birthday and i should be out and abut right now but i wanted to post this first because its been on my heart the last few days... yeah i may be old at 26, but im happy with the path ive lived so far on runescape... i started at 19... ive watched many of my younger friends grow up and graduate highschool and some college... i mean thas powerfull... now im here in wg and hope to do the same thing here... yeah i may not be over combat 115 but hey i dont give a ripp, im still a good guy and i take care of my friends... runescape saved my life... for being just a game it sure did more then expected... dont let this clan keep falling apart... stay strong... keep your head up... were only as strong as our weakest link so build them links up... help them people make them better... thanks for reading this and please do respond in any way you like bad good or indifrent... id like to know how people feel truly about everything... lets talk. get things of our chests and bring the real problems and issues to light because hiding them only makes them worse... sorry for the spelling erors and one big blob of a post, william aka immolatus2

We gotta work together as a team and spot the weaknesses and work together to solve it

P.S - I dont wanna be rude or anything, but can you PLEASE use paragraphs next time? Its hard to read the entire thing hashdown.gif.png

Immo, what you speak about is truth for so many people. I have said to you before, what happened in the past is in the past and that will stay there. WG is your present and future. WG is going through a low and as BTO said, we need to stick together. So hang in there.

Happy B-day william!!

Very nice post, but it is your birthday and you should be out doing something!

Btw, it is my understanding that trial members are actually true members of the clan. We do not have an FA system here, and so you have pretty much the same rights that every other member has. If you don't think we respect the rights of trail members, look what happened in the case of Crucio; he was arbitrarily banned by our founder, and we gave our founder (His Lordship) hell for it, to the point that he quit.

Immense post sir, I read it all, and coming from a new member, it seems you have grasped the objective right off the bat.

Good post William, and I have to agree with so many things. I joined about 4 months ago and we seemed alot stronger then and seemed more of a community. Now I sense it falling apart for many reasons, yes I'll stay on as a Guardian i do love this clan, one problem i see and have read in many posts is that there are too many cliques which makes this not a family oriented place.

When I was leader of Retri i always did my upmost to make every member feel welcome,. and not stick to having favorites. I see that as a downfall for WG so many are ignored and almost shunned, and I dont blame them for going inactive. Im not sure how Wg leadership is going to handle this, but something must be done as it it worsens each day. Many are excited becoming a Wild Guard then slowly let down after joining, its a sad thing to see so many ignored when they achieve a new level or just try to speak in the channel trying to be friendly.

Many things need to be changed, mainly the atmosphere of the clan.

The question does not ask if you are a new member but the level of certainly and understanding. Well done. Most of these problems turn out to solve themselves out but eventually they just keep coming back. We need to brake the circle of WG life.

P.S. Next time can you make them into paragraphs, my eyes hurt from that tongue.gif. Thanks.

first i want to say im sorry for my spelling errors and lack of paragraphs... i wont lie allthough i did my 4 years in highschool i didnt graduate... so im lack in alot of typing skills and proper ways to do things so im sorry... we do need to work as a team and look for the weaknesses and fix them... all of us as a whole need to do this... not just leaders and not just members... ty for the ones who have allready replied to this it shows courage, understanding, and a willingness to make wg a better clan/family for all to come... wg is my present and my future... the members ive talked to and had the honor of meeting, is pricless... so im here to stay... but like it or not im going to post my feelings and opinions for the clan, because it needs to be done more... people need to speak up for how they feel... things cant be fixed or made right if no one but a few people know about it and no one wants to talk... it is my birthday and i should be out doing something and i will but first wg comes first... birthdays come and go friendships dont, and if i can help one person then its worth it... if i can open peoples eyes and get then to talk its worth it... id give up my b-day just to help this clan/family and make it better... the future is un-certan for everyone, but we can strive to make our wg future a better one... sometimes leaders make mistakes... lord may or may not have made a bad choice or choices, ive spoke to him on a few occasions and i respect him... remember one thing about lord... he did start this, this was his idea so in the end he should get at least that for respect, even though some bad choices may have been made... some mistakes are un-forgivible but we should not shun or treat people badily... dont just cut people off from wg... cliques will damage and eat away at wg... now having a main few friends you talk to and hang out with is cool, but at least talk to others on irc and rs, because ive noticed not many people talk in irc... even i need to work on this myself... but if not for me talking to some of you guys not many people said much to me when i joined or when i did my intro or about me, i mean its sad... even if you just type in welcome to wg... do it, because tbh i felt and still feel a lil ummmm ignored here... even in this post many people read it but dont respond... its sad... i agree make every member feel welcome,. and not stick to having favorites... i do feel ignored... and i know others are too... so talk to people in irc even to just say hello and post on people's welcomes and intros... do that just one time and see how much better things go... we do need to break the circle or cycle the clan has been doing... a problem cant solve itself by being ignored... i know it for a fact... just because its a game dont mean alot of rl takes place within it... ty again to those few who have responded to me i have nothing but respect for you because you have broke the mold and actually decided to step up and talk about what on your minds and how you feel... we may well be on the road to recovery... with more people like you guys wg will once again become a great and mighty clan... im not afraid to say how it is... ty, immolatus2

p.s. for example not to sound mean but for sooth, could only respond with paragraphs please...???... i mean you didnt read...???... no dis-respect but next time at least read and respond or just dont post on my posts anymore... i feel like you just dont care...

p.s. sorry for my lack of edicuation... sad.gif

I managed to fight my way through all of it, Will tongue.gif I must say, it takes dedication to read through a body of pure text without paragraphs because you can often lose your place and it can hurt the eyes, I'd suggest wherever you use '...' to have a new paragraph smile.gif

Anyway, on topic I believe you have grasped the situation well. Clans go through highs and lows, that is a fact. Towards the begining of the CWPL, in my opinion we were at a High. As we have progressed through the grueling rounds of the rest of the CWPL, we have entered a low. The clan staff are reading the posts members make and hoping to be able to take everyone's points into consideration and help to work through this Low and get back into a High again. For example, it's unlikely we will now be entering the CWPL's second round, unless some key parts of it are changed.

And what you say about you have no rights etc, that's 100% untrue. WG's 'FA' system is the Intro's. When your application to join WG is accepted, and you become a Trial Guardian, you become part of the clan. You have the same rights as any other Guardian here, don't forget that <3 tongue.gif

Thanks for speaking your mind, Will <3 It's appreciated, especially as you take time out to write this on your Birthday smile.gif <3
