Moderator Rank / Jen

I'm posting this here because I said I would.
However Jen / Dorcha3377 approached me today and said:

I'm not sure how I feel here.
On one hand she is a great member and has done a ton for WG. However it would perhaps be biased to do as she asks.

I do know however that Abs was talking to me about bringing back the mod rank and perhaps making them in charge of forums and inactivity.

So I don't know what I think once again but I'm posting because I said I would.

Hmm, my gut feeling is it would be ultimately biased if we 'gave' jenny the position.

However, if we held an election/application for moderator spot's i cannot think of anyone more qualified/better than jenny for a position such as moderator.

If moderator rank was to return I would definitely want to see the rank do something other than just moderate the forums/irc since there is very little of that to do these days. If the moderator rank was in charge of keeping an eye on inactivity and contacting members when they fall into inactivity I think this would work well.

I would happily be the council member in charge of moderation since this is one of the many roles I have held in WG, and probably the one that I did the best at.

I'm going to have to disagree.

First off the rank doesn't exist and I don't think we need it back again. Second it would be baised and I don't think the clan would be happy with us appointing her to the position.

I really like Jenny as a person and think she is awesome, but I just wouldn't want her back in a position with power, even though it may small, and doesn't even exist right now.

It's biased.
To us giving her the position when she asks? No.

Hmm, maybe the message that gets across when she says that is not what she intended.

Although....
I would like to see Moderator rank back, so that they could mod IRC/Forums and mod inactivity, it would make the whole process of inactivity much easier since that is the job they are assigned:

-Updating Attendance
-Going through App archive, finding members, etc.

It's a big job, and I don't think Jenny will do it, it'll probably be hard to get Staff to do it too.

Either way, as this topic is concerned, I don't think we should just give Jenny a rank in power. She has to earn it.
