For those of you that don't know The Dark Knight is Christopher Nolan's sequel to his first Batman film, Batman Begins.

Trailer link:

Background information:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0468569/

Synopsis:
QUOTE
With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) and the committed new District Attorney, Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), Batman (Christian Bale) sets out to destroy organized crime in Gotham City for good. The triumvirate initially proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a rising criminal mastermind known as The Joker (Heath Ledger), who thrusts Gotham into anarchy and forces The Dark Knight ever closer to crossing the fine line between hero and vigilante.

Also, Heath Ledgers performance as the Joker has got everybody excited for the movie. He also past away shortly after filming which caused even more anticipation for the film since it is his last.

Releasing Friday the 18th of July, The Dark Knight should be awesome!

I'm going with a bunch of friends to the midnight premier and I'll try and edit how it was here. What are your thoughts about it?

He died of an over doze. According to the Doctor he was on to many Anti-depressents because of his role as the Joker. It scared the hell out of him and was perscribed the medicine to calm him down. the result of to many of these tablets in his sytem was his death.

I cannot wait for this movie, i shall be seeing it straight away!

The UK release date is 24/7/08.

Just to add on, the only flaw I see in the movie is that it's 2 hours and 30 minutes long which is super long but hopefully every minute will be entertaining. I think I also heard that they cut out a scene from the movie in which they put The Joke's body in a body bag. Obviously since he died in real life, they found that they should take that scene out from the movie.

The role of the Joker did not 'Scare' him. His friends and relatives all say he was loving being the Joker, Christian Bale also said he could sense that Heath was enjoying the role.

It was an accidental overdose of a drug that many people are on for many reasons.

Just because he's playing a 'dark' character does not mean it scared him.

Honestly, read Empire.

Can't wait btw.

Batman Begins was one of the few really good superhero/comic book movies IMO.

Really looking forward to The Dark Knight, probably gonna see it Sunday, out of town now.

*****SUPPOSED SPOILER ALERT FOR ANYONE WHO'S NEVER READ A COMIC OR WATCHED THE CARTOON ********

I didn't ruin anything lol. In the movie, and even in the synopsis it tells how the new DA is Harvey Dent, and if you even bothered with any cartoon or comic versions of Batman, you would know that Harvey Dent becomes Two-Face.

Plus in the newest trailer you see Dent (Aaron Eckhart) in a car with a revolver, Two-Faces' right hand weapon, and his face was burned on one side.

So neahhhh

I don't read those things Rai but once I heard his name in the movie I knew it was two-faced, I have watched Batman Forever. =P
SPOILERS:
Anyway, my sister had the laptop last night so I could not post this. Christopher Nolan, I have to give it to him for amazingly writing and directing the film. I think there was also someone else but I forgot. He made the movie, from start to finish, a thrill ride that everyone should see.

Heath's role as the joker was not disappointing whatsoever. He created such an extraordianry villain, a psychotic yet funny villain who has no rules and takes it to another level.

Christian Bale played a decent role as well, comming back to his role as The Batman. The action from him was great and his character of Bruce played well, too.

Aaron's roles as Harvey was really just...meh. He was nothing special but I loved the idea of building his character in this movie and show how and why he became two-face. It was totally brilliant. Also, his two-faced face wasn't very impressive, Tommy Lee Jones did a much better job.

The ending, you see The Joker just hanging there, alive, upside sown while SWAT comes in. Probably dead but never showed it. As for Two-Face, I was some-what disappointed they showed he died but I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't and is in a next movie.
