Ridiculous

Rick pops in to say "Hi!" and touch base with this (once?) great clan--a clan he put countless time and effort into shaping by eliminating troublemakers, imposing leadership and discipline, exemplifying the ideals that the clan was based upon--and he gets banned. Banned!?!
Maybe there is some back story that's not being presented on the forums (there usually is), but either give an explanation or unban Rick. I imagine he would take the banning as a slap in the face and does not care if he is unbanned at this point. There is only so much abuse one person can take.
No matter what he seems to do, some members of this clan cannot get past their petty ways. The one thing that has always held this clan back, IMHO, is the selfishness and lack of maturity among many members.
I continue to think back fondly of my time in WG, and therefore, I continue to wish you the best of luck in the future.

rick was most likely banned for the drama he may cause since his past has caused hell of a lot of it, and that he was banned(might be kicked but i think banned) before this and didn't mean for him to get around the ban.
p.s-I speculated, i dont have any clue other than that........so yea.

Isn't rick the one who has been banned like 7 times..? If he was I don't know how he wasn't banned earlier.

Rick was banned 5 times before, he never was unbanned from last time and that was a permanent ban.

Hmm... this is one of several topics that raises the notion of a declining community.

He stepped down as leader and became Founder, then some incident jepodised that and he was changed to Ex-Member because he still had a high influence within the clan. For the full story PM Lordy or Abs

I don't even know what MSN is, so no, I don't use it. (You may not remember that I am not particularly technologically savvy.)
Whatever the drama is/was, it doesn't sound good. I know that WG has always been a passion of yours, and as well it should be. You created all of this after a simple post on...wasn't it RV? You have persevered through a lot of adversity and held this clan together through thick and thin, all the while holding onto the focus of making a strong clan with high ideals. I salute you for that.
I hope that all gets righted soon enough.

Yeah...that is a bit ridiculous. I can see why we would have major problems letting him back into the clan, however as a guest he did nothing to deserve being banned.
I have said it before if we are going to arbitrarily and preemptively ban people, then there is no point in having rules.

Fitting rick into the new WG is like placing a square jigsaw piece into a circular hole. I'd honestly advise him against it, because him and the new leadership would never ever mix, and he wouldn't enjoy what it has turned to.
Speaking as someone who has had a lot of experience with rick from the upper end, its ludicrous to ban him on sight, especially with no reason for it. And that is one thing he despises.
The best drama-free way is unban rick and let him remain on these public forums to mix with all the great old-schoolers that are coming back. Hopefully it will happen.

Rofl I think you were the one to perma ban rick each of those 5 times gene.
Now you claim that banning him is a warning sign.

He is nice and has been a friend to me for a long time. I have a soft spot for someone like him.

There's definitely alot of old names popping up recently. It's a bit nostalgic. We should have a reunion forum or something for old timers ... INCLUDING RICK!

Well He stepped down from leading wg to become a founder which was SUPPOSED TO BE the equivalent of an elite guardian. But Lordy kept op in irc, kept acp/root. And when he felt like it baned and kicked numerous members many many times. He banned groedius on ts/irc like 10+ times at a guess, and banned another member just because he didn't like him making him leave(we were just about to try to help the new member out cuz he was socially....not that smart)....
But yea lordy then left cuz he felt abused and went to ex-member. And many many people are still angry at him because he can't let go of the leadership role he had and wants back so much but has said this is enough bye bye yet still wants back, exactly why he is being so negative....
note- the last paragraph is mostly my opinion, sorry if you don't like it.
P.S- Our community is actually healing itself atm Lordy.
P.S.S-Anyone of that old Negativity is Offically banned in WG emote from old forums, the one of Geohoods dog/what i though was a squirrel for over a year?

It's called a biased council member that got elected in by default and not by a member vote, who is trying to flex his muscles like a big man.
