Skills War

Well after a long hard 7 weeks of CWPL I have decided to introduce my idea of Skill Wars once again. Finally we enter the skills again and need to keep that part going in WG. For those of you who don't know just some history on the past two times I held it.
First Skills War Vs. BoS - 18m Exp. - We won. Second Skills War Vs. TBE - 31m Exp. - We won.
So far we are undefeated in the competition. The rules are that there are 3-5 people in each skill depending on the number of people wanting to participate. Each skill with have its on forum (within a sub-forum) with a list posted of starting exp and of who is in each group. The group can organize events and train together in this week. In each group I will nominate a leader who will keep track of exp with each member and at the end of the week, each leader pms me who much exp each person made in the competition and as a group. Each member can take part in two skills. We add all of these up to get the overall exp. We compare our stats with the opposing clan, each skill we have more exp in we get 1 point. The clan with the most points wins. Easy enough to understand. Tell me what you think please. I am willing to take charge of it myself like the previous two times. Thank you for the time!
The reward for each clan is the right to post the winning banner. This event is intended to be more of a getting together and interacting with other group mates type thing than full out skilling. Have fun and make some friends while you are at it.

P.S. I would like to mention that the past couple of weeks people just been like banging on my door, and been so ignorant of the idea of me making Skill of the Week and Skill Wars (not acknowledging that I made them) , that is why I am so protective over this idea. I hope you guys understand. Thanks. <3333 |
Well, it's a good idea, I can't remember if it's a week or a month?
Should we wait 'till after Pro Silentium?
Should we do it during Pro Silentium?
Should we remove Pro Silentium?

I would really like to see us in another skill war, I think it's a great idea for us right now.
I believe it was a month.
I'm not really sure if we should do it during or after Pro Silentium, if we did it during we wouldnt get good results in one or the other and if we did it after I think that's waiting too long.
Perhaps we could ask the clan what they would think about removing PS?

I think doing it while Pro Silentium is still going on would be a bad idea. One would get more attention than the other. I suggest letting PS finish the prayer and strength month, then go on to the skill war.
Then we could bring back PS when the skill war is over?

Pro Silentium has been horrible for the clan in my opinion anyways.
It has made the focus towards combat and god wars, both of which spawn negativity in general from people from what I can tell.
This idea sounds fine though.

Ok, I like Rob's idea.
After this month of Prayer & Strength is finished. We implement the Skills War, then after Skills war is finished, carry on with PS.
Everyone fine with that?

Yay I can break to Skill

Wait.
I thought this month was the last of PS?
Someone seriously made a 3 month training regime?
My god.

Four actually.

Honestly that is a horrible idea.
The clan already is bitching about too much war focus and we expect them to spend 2 MORE MONTHS training only combat.
Wayyyy too aggressive of a program.
OPH was a month and it caused some negatives, and you guys made this for FOUR.
I'm highly disappointed.

PS wasn't meant to remove other training scheme's when it was first put into place, Skill of the Week and so-on were still meant to continue as it was meant to have XP's set at a level that you could easily gain even if you did skill of the week and so on.
This focus got lost very early on.
