Metal Gear Solid 4

So I just got my ps3 friday, and it came with mgs4, but ic an't figure it out lol.
If anyone has played it, and would like to give me a hand, please post.

What are you stuck on?

i figured out hte part that i needed, but i can't get the rations pack to work for me to heal. i press L1 + o to use it right?

I just realized how difficult/frustration MGS4 must be for non-veterans. Using the L2 + R2 buttons to access your weapons and items must be a bit weird. Lol.

Yep, you use O to use your rations IF you have any left.

Use a guide on the internet if you get stuck. I'm sure there must be a free online guide somewhere...

i press L1 + o but nothing happens.

hold L2 and scroll until you select rations, then press O

Are you sure you NEED a ration? Is you life bar down? also make you ou have one on you.
