[Recap] Fist of Guthix!

Had a bunch of fun at FoG today. I got my 600 tokens and full druidic robes 
. and we had some fun games
I got to play Zeth, winned by 1.2k charges (Yeah he lagged out but I already had him beat by that time). N den I played RagingMike. Winned by 50 charges (H). We mostly played against a bunch of noobs but it was fun to chat with each other. Thanks to all that came to the event, hope you all had a good time =). Unfortunately I didn't have any screenshots because apparently SK has trouble screenshotting in full screen.
Btw my paint skills are pro, T Dwag wasn't in that pic when I took it

| What is it? F2P Fist of Guthix! Date Thursday August 7th, 2008 Time 7pm- GMT 2pm- EST 11am- PST 4am- Australian EST, Friday Meeting place World 20, Varrock East bank. We will march up to FoG What to bring? Its been awhile since I've been to FoG, but I think food is provided as well as runes. Arrows are automatically returned to you at the end I believe. Just bring good armor and weapons (Full rune, scimmy, R2H, Baxe whatever you want) For those of you who don't know how to play.. go die =X. But seriously.. Its a very simple mini-game and you can learn it quickly. At the beginning you are either the hunter or the hunted. The hunter has to find their opponent (They have an arrow on them on the minimap, as well as above their head) and eliminate them. The hunted is where strategies come into play. Assuming your target is easy to kill, a strategy won't be needed. Just equip the orb thingy you get at the beginning and run to the center, tank it out and die. If you find your target is a somewhat difficult opponent, this is what I normally do. I hide behind one of the portal houses. This gives about 9 charges per tick I think, meanwhile they have trouble finding you usually. When found, you can drag them around, hug walls etc. Or you can just take the easy way out and tank them in the center. The 9 charges per tick in the beginning can be crucial, and often will save you instead of just running to the center. This is a good chance to get your raid gear including: Rune gloves, Rune berserker shield, and those fancy binding robes (Which I don't have yet :X) |
