[Accepted]_[Phase 2]_Warning Appeal: Maddness990
By Mickey on 08/08/2008
Rsname: Maddness990
Please copy & paste the "Warned on" date - "Warned on August 07, 2008 09:33 pm"
Who were you warned by?: Robertw56
Please write your defence to this warning level - Well, I chose not attend an event because I was fishing for another event, Skill of The Week. I was trying to gather as much fish as possible for xp, for SoTW and to cook next week for Skill Olympics. I do not wish to leave WG with a 20% warning so I am appealing for it to be removed. I don't think I deserve the warning as there are others that didn't attend but were on-line that didn't get warned.
Evidence to prove I was fishing:

I'm actually relatively angry that this warning has taken place. I planned this tank practice as a non-mandatory part of the MANY warring practices we do for our members who struggle tanking and who are new to the clan/warring. We host so many of these that there is no real reason for them to be mandatory...
In Mickey's case, there should especially be consideration that he was in fact taking part in another event at the time (SOTW) and so doesn't really have to be dragged from one event to go to another which was (IMO & In my planning) not mandatory.
Events shouldn't be mandatory. Fair enough, a certain number of wars should be mandatory (e.g. one of every two major (raw/cwpl) wars) however other RS events really imo shouldn't be mandatory.
I'd be very dissapointed if this warn isn't removed, and possibly even feel guilty for organising the event, and possibly be discouraged from organising another for fear of another outcome like this. I have no intentions of an event i planned to result in a member (possibly more than one in the near future...) leaving (despite me organising as non-mandatory).

I don't feel any event should be mandatory.
EDIT: Posted at the same time as Jailbait, and want to add more.
As Jailbait said, there are many war practices. Why does one of them have to be mandatory at all? They are held several times, and there is always another practice that can be attended.
And I completely agree that Mickey was participating in ANOTHER EVENT! Mickey knows how to war, he's good at it. Why the hell should he be bothered to go do something that he knows how to do, when he's busy with something else?
