Let's Play a Game
By David on 19/08/2008
Alright, I wasn't sure where to put this, but I figure it doesn't do any harm here.
This is just a simple game to just get to know people. I've realized that as long as I've been here I don't know to many people and partly because there is this kind of grouping of members with each other, not that people aren't friendly, but it's like a one time thing, and you leave with a good impression and everything's nice, but if you log-on again, they don't even say "Hi".
I just figure, what better way to maybe start some of that than a little sharing.
The idea is that one person says something about themselves, be it their age, gender, likes, dislikes, opinions, whatever. The next poster comments on the previous person's personal comment and then makes one of their own.
What I'm not looking for is this:
Personal comment: I think that pizza is a great food, and it is also my favorite food.
Remark: You're so stupid for liking that, I feel sorry for you.
No harsh comments. Sure you can disagree, but make it polite. Something like this:
Personal comment: I think swimming is a great sport.
Remark: I personally don't enjoy swimming.
If you want you can elaborate why, but it's not necessary.
The hope is that people see others with similar interests and talk to them. Also, people may see others with differing views and opinions and may want to talk to them and learn why they feel that way, or try to persuade them to think otherwise.
This may or may not work out, but heck, it's worth a shot.
Here's my personal comment:
I think Michael Phelps is awesome because he is an amazing swimmer (8 golds please) and I love swimming.
By Dalejamesw on 19/08/2008
Ya swimming is great fun, especially on Holidays, I remember nearly drowning though :<
I like Art and Design, I'm doing my GCSE in it this year, predicted a A maybe A* if i work for it
By David on 19/08/2008
I like art and design, but I'm no artist, I do find it fun to think up designs for things though.
I'm on the X-Country team at my school.
By Gusmighster on 19/08/2008
I'm not 100% sure what X-Country is, but I think it's cross country so I'll just comment on that.
Cross Country is alright, I don't mind running but I'm the kind of person that prefers sports to athletics. I'm not bad or good at cross country.
I love cricket. I spend alot of time on cricket and it's my favourite sport.
By David on 19/08/2008
In 4th grade my teacher was from NZ and he taught us cricket, he also taught us 4-square, haha. I enjoy cricket as well.
I've lived on three continents:
North America
Asia
Africa
Yes, X-Country is Cross Country, was to lazy to type it out before.
By George on 19/08/2008
Wow you've really travelled a lot!
I've only lived on two continents- Europe + North America

I have had great fun watching the olympics these last two weeks, especially the gymnastics and the field events (eg: the jumps, hammerthrow etc)
By For Sooth on 19/08/2008
I have watched the olympics everyday and have also found them quite interesting, (i'm not american, but i did chear for phelps.)
what i like even better than watching sports is just playing them, I love hockey, and lacrosse myself.
By Sithofwookie on 19/08/2008
ive always wanted to play lacrosse but i dont like hockey lol
i like to spam to get my post count up
By rachellove9 on 19/08/2008
When I first started in the clan I only read the posts. I never posted on them til I was about to get kicked and a council member told me to get it up to at least one a day. Now I'm hooked and usually check it twice a day.
I have blonde hair but really I'm not dumb. lol My IQ is like 127 or around there. I scored highest in my state in mechanical ability and that is biggest joke cause I cant open the hood to my car. lol
I hope you smiled when you read that. lol
By Nick on 19/08/2008
I don't know how to open up the hood to a car either, so don't worry.
I am in my high school's band and play on the drumline.
By Sithofwookie on 19/08/2008
I used to play the snare drums but i quit cuz my teacher was a bitch lol
I have 4 brothers and 1 sister make so 6 kids = no privacy, idk if any new that but i think i have the most sibling in WG!
By Mistah Vince on 20/08/2008
Wow, big family. I have 2 sisters, and that's it. Kinda sucks having no brother, but eh. Shit happens.

Um, I'm enjoying the Olympics recently. (though I know it was already said) Personally, I'm entranced by the Gymnastics for reasons I cannot even comprehend. But Nastia Liukin = love.
By Winddancir on 20/08/2008
I haven't watched them at all really, but I do enjoy teasing you about Nastia. No one else is allowed to tease you about her, k?
I like making sigs, but get frustrated easily and almost never follow what people say they want because it works better when I just sit there ignoring every one and blasting hyper techno music... Can't hear any one, just watching what I'm doing... And if I really like the way the sig is turning out, I start bouncing on the bed and really being hyper.
By Troll84 on 20/08/2008
I personally don't like making signatures

I find it too hard and too time consuming

Well, my bit about me shall be.... Im going to Ibiza on Saturday for some raaaaaves

I  clubbing
By Nick on 20/08/2008
I have never been clubbing, but my brother has. I like a lot of techno music and dancing, so I think I would like clubbing.
I have a brother who just left for college, and I am extremely happy he is gone.
By David on 20/08/2008
That is like the semi-opposite situation I'm in. I'm going of to college at the end of this SY and my little brother wants me to stay, even after he says I'm the meanest person in the world.
I enjoy diagnosing computer problems. Like if something goes wrong, I find it fun to try and fix it by process of elimination. If I can't do it that way, I kind of get obsessed and HAVE to fix it even if it's something minor.
By Gusmighster on 20/08/2008
My Dad works with computers so when something goes wrong I just get him to fix it.
I THINK I'm youngest in WG. (Even younger than Geoff!!@@)
Got a feeling I'm gonna regret saying that
By Elyxiatic on 20/08/2008
I'm feeling old in wg, don't be worried about being young.
Commenting on rachel's thingy too, about the IQ, mine is 150
Got it like properly tested when I was young.
By Nick on 20/08/2008
I have no clue what my IQ is.. I took a test like 8 years ago though.
I am currently taking the hardest courses offered at my high school, through a program by the name of International Baccalaureate. After it is all said and done I should have about 2 years worth of college hours out of the way all earned from high school. And a pretty nice scholarship added on top of that.
By David on 20/08/2008
I'm taking some IB classes as well, but can't do the IB Diploma because my previous school was AP based and I was entering as a senior and didn't want to repeat 11th grade.
I like rock music like Linkin Park, Green Day, and Rise Against.
By Eregion2 on 20/08/2008
I like the first two so I guess I should look up the third.

I was home schooled from kindergarten through twelth grade, graduated in '07.
By NightRawrs on 20/08/2008
Home schooling would be fun. Sometimes you learn better sometimes you don't. Maybe because it's one on one.
I do a thing that's a youth organization called Sea-Cadets we do alot of Sailing and other things including Diving which i love. Other things like Rowing.
By Dorcha3377 on 21/08/2008
