I Need Some Book Help

By Rai Of Light on 27/08/2008
So, in the past couple days it's come to me that my original prologue was way too complicated and confusing for the average reader, therefor it is now in the "Use later in the story" box.

I have started writing a new prologue, and I am nearly done with it. The help I am asking for is that I need at least three different people, with different book tastes to read it through and let me know what you think.

Also note that when it is sent, that it is still a rough draft, a lot could be done and many things can be changed, but that's for a bit later.

Please post here if you are at all interested in this, mainly with what kind of books you read, and your favorite genre.

This book is greatly in the Fantasy category so if you hate that, I wouldn't suggest this for you. tongue.gif

Thanks in advance babes. <3

Well, I don't like to read, so maybe I could help?

See if you can take somebody who doesn't like to read and have them dive into your book?

(I don't know. I'm a noob.)

I wouldn't mind reading it.

I read many types of novels ranging from fantasy and adventure, to science fiction and history. Anything but romance, lol.

You will read romance if I write it young man cussing.gif

But no worries, I'm not one for romantic novels. Bits of wubby dovey stuff isn't too bad, but an entire book is bleh

You could send me it, I've read a vast array of genres including Fantasy and Science Fiction.

One of my favourite authors being James Rollins.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, one of my favorite authors is Michael Crichton if that means anything. hash.png

Fantasy mostly, if you need another volunteer. Historical fiction, mostly classics or stuff by Bernard Cornwell. Favorite fantasy author would be Terry Brooks - Tolkien has a special place elsewhere just so the others don't feel bad. I'm not really into Stephen-King-style character narratives, but I've read a few of them anyway.

Okay, well - I've just finished it. I'll send it out to you guys...but once again, don't be too harsh because it's still the rough draft. I haven't edited it at all (And I know there is a lot of work to be done) but like I said, that work can be done at a later date.

Let me know what you all think...and thank you for taking the time out to do this for me. :$
