The rumour mill.

This is an issue that needs to stop here and now.
I know that allot of you are younger teenagers and as a result gossip is a common part of your lives, but IRL generally it is much easier for you to tell how close a person's friendship is or isn't.
The issue here revolves around several different incidents over the last few months where members have had rumours started where people are suggesting that member X and member Y are going out/E-Dating.
Though you may think that discussing a possible relationship between 2 members is just harmless gossip, almost inevitably this gossip is actually not true and as a result they can have a dramatic impact on the friendships of those you may be suggesting are having a relationship, particularily if they discover you are discussing them behind their back.
Becuase of the destructive effects these rumours can have upon members friendships there will be harsh punishments handed out to those that are found to be starting them.

First of all, I know what this is about. I just want to make that known before you think I'm just making pointless posts. No, I won't say the details.
Now, onto the bulk.
This "rumor" was harmless. The person who it involved took it in the wrong ways. I know that only a few people actually heard it, and a few of us had confronted "Person X", as we shall call them, to see if such information was true. This information was then twisted and unnecessary things were surfaced as if the intention was to hurt somebody. Though, I'm unsure if this is true because I don't know who started it and why, I highly doubt anybody was trying to hurt somebody else.
It was a misunderstanding...that's all.

No it's not just about the one that arose this week, there have been several other incidents that fewer people may be aware of/have forgotten about.
The rumor may have appeared harmless to you (and to the person who started it, I am unaware who that is) and normally the rumors do look harmless to everyone because they think they are discussing the truth essentially, but when person X and Y find out that other clan members are discussing a potential relationship they are not having is can be very harmful.
If the rumor can be interpreted to be harmful then it should not have been started in the first place.

I won't deny that rumors are bad. Because they are, for the most part.
But still, I'm sticking to it was just a misunderstanding and it was all taken the wrong way. =\

I have been gossiped about more than anyone ever probably. It hurts when you think people have this whole thing in their head about you and its not true.
