Runescape Rules
By His Lordship on 28/09/2008
Here is my official stance on JaGeX rulebreaking...
DO NOT DO IT PLEASE!
However, it is not a commandment.
Only a request.
It is not up to me to discipline you for breaking a JaGeX rule unless it harms WG.
Things like account sharing and real world trading, I must frown upon.
They will jeopardise your account.
But no action will be taken against you.
Let JaGeX punish for JaGeX rules.
But know that if anything happens to your account, don't expect sympathy from the clan. You won't be given exceptional emeritus without an account etc...
Just don't do it.
No punishment will be given... but it will rely on an honour system.
The official stance of the leadership is that we condemn it, but we will not punish on behalf of JaGeX.

Banhammer Wayne, banhammer!
Btw those emoticons sum up Rick's feelings

Yessir, I also frown upon it, especially the buying and selling of membership.
By Samurai-JM on 28/09/2008
I only follow rules if the rules are right. If they aren't screw em.

Banhammer requires work. Banmonkey you just sit back and watch the hilarity.

Interesting...
Not exactly what I'd hoped for, but I guess it's something.

I like your thinking, but I still agree with karl that the rules can appropriately broken into the 3 categories of 'intensity'. Some rules are undeniably bannable (like hacking), and some are petty or don't apply to WG, like advertising websites.
Your stance is better than it initially was (pretending we enforce all of them), but I still think every rule should be treated differently.
By Dorcha3377 on 28/09/2008
I agree with your ideas..we can't be Jagex. It is an honor system for people.
Everyone needs to make thier own decisions about the things they do.
But know sometimes when you make a bad decision you have to face those consequences.

I'm disappointed to say the least. Unbelievable that winning wars means this much to us as a clan. Should I be surprised? I'll bet only one on council really opposed. Very Sad day.
Well, I can only hope this kind of attitude doesn't hurt the clan in the end.
By Mickey on 28/09/2008
Agreed.
By Dorcha3377 on 28/09/2008
Rach....this really has nothing to do with warring.
By Randy on 28/09/2008
Ok..
Jagex rules are made to keep runescape safe and protect the stupid little twelve year olds. It's clear that not every rule is helpful to the players. Especially the situation we're in about Parth's account.
Will Jagex ever find out that it's not the real owner? No.
Will it benefit WG? Yes.
Therefore, as long as we are not putting ourselves or anyone elses safety at risk, I say it's fine. Nothing but good comes from this. Just be careful and use your brain.

It has everything to do with warring Jen because people are using other accounts in order to go to a war. How does that not have to do with wars?
Randy, don't be too sure about JaGeX not finding out.
So what you're saying is: Fuck the rules as long as WG gains benefits from it.

I thought this was a compendium of things..not just about warring. At least that is how I was reading this.

Some people do share accounts for warring, but still there are people who share accounts for firecapes/any activity that needs a person's skills/giving away their account
So it's not really for warring only.
I agree with this post, btw
By Ikahigurashi on 29/09/2008
Well said and agreed 100%...
Besides, why would we wanna be like jagex anyways... ruining the market, and pk'ing.
By Woolachee on 29/09/2008
If you break rules, just keep it to yourself and be like,
LOOK AT THE ACCOUNT I MADE. dont be dumb. dont give people dirt on your that can come back to haunt you.
By Samurai-JM on 29/09/2008
100m+ by rule breaking ftw. Don't tattle please.
Anyway, I guess this can help so that you guys don't get banned. If you DO have to break rules, don't tell anybody.

I love this emote:
and yea, i didnt understand why before when people were being perm banned from rs, council and other members were trying to find friends to sell them an account. then again that was at a bad time when wg was at around 50 members a year ago
and post 500
By Planolocal on 29/09/2008
Roger, Roger, thats a big ten-four.
By T Dwag on 29/09/2008
Well I agree with your terms Gene, but as for Parth's account I believe Paz is not in the wrong. I've seen worse things done with accounts and he's a dedicated member who attends the wars. That's more than I can say for some of the other members who do abide by Jagex rules. I doubt the clan really cares THAT much about winning a war since half of them left in the middle of a run in today without an excuse.
