Farewell my friends

Here I am today, around 11 months of service to WG, it comes to an end, this is indeed my resignation and leaving post.

I've been pondering this for well over 2-3 weeks, mainly the reasons of my activity, people pointing out that I'm not pulling my weight, not being on Runescape enough.

First off, I'd like to say the reason I'm not on Runescape a lot is down to the fact; I would rather shoot myself than play Runescape sometimes, the only aspect of the game I enjoy is the PvP, that is it. I find no point in playing, it is repetitive and down right boring to play.

And me not pulling my weight, well thats my fault, I find it hard to do Council work after being AT work all day for 7-8 hours. When I get home I don't want to be on IRC all night fixing problems, I don't work like that, I should of realised what I was getting into when I applied for Council, sadly I didn't. The only way you can realise how stressful Council can be, is to actually take up the position and do the day to day jobs that come up.

Basically, I sucked really, a lot of you seem to think that, fair enough, but there was no need to rub it in my face.

Ok onto a different subject, the PvP side of WG.

I'm a warring person, through and through, I don't skill, I don't go boss hunting and all that crap. I need excitment, I need PKRI's. It seems the things I want to do, WG doesn't.

I've tried to get WG more into warring, but have to realise, WG is community based, not warring, that was my mistake. I probably could of tried harder, but I can't change what people want, hell thats impossible.

But hey whatever, I'm sure you'll find a new Warlord who wants to do warring and community based events, I was an asshole and just wanted warring.

Council <- I get voted in a way I didn't want, with the council choosing whether to let me in or not, never liked the fact that I never got accepted properly.

And here I am now, writing my resignation, it had to come sometime.

I could do shout-outs, but I'd be here till tommorow morning writing them out, I'm just going to do a few people who come to mind that have really made an impact on my time in WG;

Dale - Best friends till the end You made WG fun for me, whenever i was down you'd have something funny to say XD.

Vince - You're just an awesome guy, cool to talk to, great guy all round, we'll keep in touch.

Randy - You're one of the most dedicated people here, have a great mind, very creative, awesome guy

Pazenon - My first mentee back in late 2007 I believe, you are probably the nicest guy I know, always something positive to say, we'll keep in touch man

Well thats it, I will officially leave on Sunday 12th October. (I posted my Resignation in Level 4 on Sunday 28th September)

Please, I beg that you let me go in peace. I will continue my duties as a Warlord until those dates, like I agreed to on my application to Council.

Honestly Rob, I saw this coming. But it's not a bad thing. Part of living is realizing mistakes and moving on in life. I'm glad I got to know you, and I know we'll keep in touch, bitch.

I was one of the people, that questioned your activity. I questioned it to your face. And im glad i did so. I immediately noticed that you where online at more on IRC, also on RS. Instantly my respect for you, doubled, no trebled.

I think your a really nice guy rob. Glad we have you untill the 12th atleast.

I dont dislike you at all Rob and i can see alot of this deciscion came based on Rick But also as myself as once one of the top 2 alliance leaders with over 13k members yeh it can take its toll big time, I was sad to leave the alliance but was happy to be free from all the added stress, it became more than real life, so many meetings etc and stress, it wore me out.

If you do go ahead and leave us I wish you the best in life man

Well I was not able to get to really know you, since the council/warlord elections started a day or so after I became a trial guardian. After that point I saw you rarely, probably because of my timing, and also because of your busy reasons. I was thinking that you may leave, due to your inactivity lately, but when you posted the topic that you were going to start trying to be more active and play RuneScape again, it made me think that you would be staying for a bit longer.

Good luck to whereever you go. Hopefully you find a place that you will enjoy.

Sad, now I can't use you as an example of how amazing hardworking people can go far. Now there's no more examples, nobody else joined as close as we did though so if you ever come back I'll outrank you for the first time ever. But good luck Rob.

I feel horrible for having not given you a fair and competitive run for warlord. I probably could have just not been bothered by certain things and kept going against you. BUT! I had faith in you 100% and that was why I relinquished myself in the end. ILY ROB. I'll always keep you on Msn and if you ever need to chat it up. I am there for you bro.

When there was you, DZ, and Zach, WG was such a dominant force to be wreckened with. Now you are all gone, its just not the same warring under bto+glenn (noobs <3)

You have a place in my mind as a legendary warlord Rob, i just wanted you to know. The reason you like PvP so much is because your really good at it.

Sucks that you lost interest in Runescape, cause you were an awesome guy/leader/member of WG, no matter what anyone says, i'll always think that.

When you re-joined again, we were good friends. Then you got too busy with your Raid Leader and stuff, and we didn't talk any more.

Only recently did I realise your a great guy again. I'm sorry we weren't always the best of friends, but I will miss you when you leave.

You saw my post in Level 4 Rob, you know how I feel.
It'll be hard to find a replacement for you, I say you teach what you can to the Raid Leaders or anyone you feel will get the next position as a Warlord.

Hands down, while you were a warlord, you were a fantastic one towards our warring side, we won a lot of battles and I am personally proud how far you've come, at the same time, very sad you are leaving the position.

I can't say this as much as Eugene, as he's had..triple (quadruple) the experience of it, but I know how you feel when Members take a shot at your hard work.

I'm really hoping this isn't all about that wars vs. skillers post a while back, because if it is, I'm pretty ashamed at the clan. This is a community clan, far more than a runescape clan, in fact we've been through enough to call ourselves family here. Even through all of this though, we still have to treat each other like this and just throw our friends out because of a minor disagreement? This is bad.

Why is my name being brought up in this? Rob and I have a mutual friendship here, even though things started out a little hairy between us. We have spoken at some lengths about what's going on and I truly think Rob is a great leader. He at least takes the time to listen, not only to problems, but to criticisms as well. No other leader here does that.

Rob, you and I have gotten to be pretty good friends over the interim and I'm very glad for that. You really have a great personality and you know what it takes to succeed (even if I do disagree with them ). You've managed to do quite a bit for WG and as usual, go forgotten because you're Council. IMHO we don't give Council the credit they deserve for the things they DO do.

I told you this more than once Rob that if you ever need me, I'll be there. If you have any issues, problems, concerns, or just wanna shoot the shit, that's what friends do...they listen and try to help. I hope that you see me in this capacity and will utilize it if you need/have to.

I wish you well on your future endeavors in RS and in life. You know what you want, now go and get it. As long as you're happy and content, that's all that matters.

Gene was right when he said that this is a big blow to WG, however Rob, you've given us some of the tools we need to thrive and survive this...and for that I thank you.

Sad to see you step down, but by the point you're prepared to make a public leaving topic, it shows that its time you can't fully commit anymore. Noble of you to step down for the good of the clan. You've done a good job so far. People coming and leaving council is not a rare thing, we've had so many council over the years, it just shows what a tough job it is, and after a few months you realise you have spent enough of your youth times doing slave labour with little recognition.

Bye Rob. Don't treat yourself like you weren't a good council member. Each person contributes differently, and you were the one who was more of a warring council, but thats how you always were, especially since you came from being a raid leader. Hopefully, you'll be around and I'll get to talk to you sometimes, between my own inactivity.

Aw man. With the new updates coming up soon do you think you could maybe be emeritus or even a member rank? They seem pretty fun and it would be great if you could hang and own it up with all those new PvP games. Rob you were a great leader, a great person, and we've shared many moments with you. I really hope one day you'll come back, maybe when WG is stronger in the warring section and start dominating those new PvP games. I wish you the best in real life and where ever you decided to go, you really were an inspiration.
