Obama Rigged election?
By WG_Aaron on 10/10/2008
Been hearing alot about his associations with ACORN.
I don't know much about it yet.
Can I have some input?
As always, Ill be doing research of my own to to argue the side I choose xD.

Don't be so sure. They all are a bit crooked or they would not want all that power. Most would sell souls to get it.

Moch, that is just ridiculous.
As for this topic, I assume this is another one of those guilt by association attacks...let me guess, Obama has supported ACORN, and ACORN has registered fake voters, which automatically means Obama is trying rig the election? That is alot of bull, if ACORN has registered false voters it is that fault of that organization and has nothing to do with the Obama campaign.
By Colinwarrior on 10/10/2008
I've heard all kinds of stories about McCain having dealings with Diebold to rig the elections. I guess the mud can be thrown either way, huh?
By Firelion08 on 10/10/2008
At the moment, I doesn't seem that Obama is directly involved, to me. But it is possible.
For now, however, some of his fanatical followers are definitely being put under a lot scrutiny, and I am convinced they've been involved in some dirty work.
Yes, Obama is capable of being a lying bastard. It's the truth. (So is McCain; so is any politician)
Taking into consideration how this sort of thing shouldn't have been happening in the first place, in my opinion, you shouldn't immediately reject the significance of the link that connects ACORN to Obama and the Liberal Party.

Based on that argument, would you go as far as to saying that this whole issue is a lie?
Don't forget about the mud while deciding who to throw it to... Because, regardless of the direction it's going, the issue of the mud is still there.
... And, as far as I'm concerned, the stories about McCain don't change the fact that an organization may have been cheating to gain votes for Obama.
Don't get me wrong, I don't exactly like McCain either... But the smell of bullshit can be impossible to disguise.

I'm just stating that Obama COULD be cheating in this election, but so could any other candidate. I certainly wouldn't put it past Mr. John "do anything to win" McCain.
Posting a topic such as this has no point, except pointing out that politicians COULD be lying bastards...and they are...and everyone already knows that..
But anyways..yeah..Obama is going to win either way, so you might as well get used to it.

Doubt he rigged it, but McCain is nearly done. If the possible new violence intel that our country believes is true that violence is about to happen in the Middle East, McCain is done and has no further chance in this election. This would go directly against his Foreign Policy fundamentals. Obama is already probably going to win. His poll ratings spiked dratmatically after last Tuesday's debate. Unless Obama makes a fatal mistake that strongly hurts him, McCain is probably going to lose.
Also Aaron, I know you support McCain and stuff, but please don't post every single bit of gossip you get about Obama. Most gossip like that in elections is completely false. Don't act like your own party is innocent. I find it fucking disgraceful that Sarah Palin allowed her supporters to chant phrases like "terrorist," "kill him," and other racial slurs during the Republican rally this week.
I also don't appreciate how some (I don't mean to generalize a party's voters. Sorry if this offends you.) of your supporters cut the breaks of people's cars who have Obama/Biden bumper stickers. Some of your supporters are no better than the KKK, yet your party does not address this. McCain said that he doesn't support the racial slurring and discrimination against Obama. If this is true, why does he idly stand by why people flap their mouths? If you want respect, stand up there and tell your supports to shut their fucking mouths and be fair.
/end rant

Glenn,
How many anti-obama posts are they're?
most of the posts in this forum are against McCain/Palin and Bush. Yet no one bitches about being biased when reading those. Dont tell me to be unbiased when your dont do the same.
Also, I said I didn't know much about it. I was trying to get peoples input and I get called a racist.
Also about the bit for the kkk and breaking obama/biden bumpersticker windows,
I have not once heard anything about it on all my surfing, on all the news stations. On another point, The same happens to mccain supporters. I get called racist. And palin never said chant terrorist.
Slander is an amazing thing unless someone confronts them people accept it as fact.
And as for mccain standing by while his radical supporters are a bit out there. Obama does the same thing. Rev. Wright.
I find it fucking disgraceful Glenn, that you insinuate that Im biased but failed to post anything liked that when the thread was about McCain or Palin or Bush. Now THAT is biased.

Lol, wow..seriously?
The Internet was originally developed by DARPA, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, as a means to share information on defense research between involved universities and defense research facilities.
Leonard Kleinrock of MIT had published the first paper on packet switching theory in 1961.
Robert Metcalfe is credited with Ethernet which is the basic communication standard in networked computers.
Tim Berners-Lee perhaps specified technological applicability and / or linguistic construction of HTML while working at CERN, is chiefly credited for the ease of use and wide public adoption of the web.
Larry G. Roberts created the first functioning long-distance computer networks in 1965 and designed the Advanced Research Projects Agency Network (ARPANET), the seed from which the modern Internet grew, in 1966.
Bob Kahn and Vint Cerf invented the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) which moves data on the modern Internet, in 1972 and 1973.
Radia Perlman invented the spanning tree algorithm in the 1980s. Her spanning tree algorithm allows efficient bridging between separate networks.
^those people invented the internet. Not Al Gore.
