F2P + P2P All-Star Invitational

QUOTE
I've noticed for awhile now that the clan community rarely comes together to do anything other than protesting "apocalyptic" updates. I remember before the release of Bounty Hunter, this was mainly an issue because NI crashed anything that was organized for fun. Now, with Bounty Hunter firmly in place, it should be a bit easier for us to have these sorts of events again, but they're not happening. Perhaps NI's consistant interference led to the decrease of interest in community events so much that it carries on to this day -- I don't know. Regardless, I would like to do my part in bringing them back, and I encourage others to do the same. A bit of fun and lax entertainment is what we all need these days anyways.

My idea may not be a realistic one, but I'm a bit of a dreamer anyways, so it's to be expected from me I guess. I mean the UNC and RAW haven't exactly made a universal impact, if I were to be completely honest. blush.gif I'm going to do what I did with those two ideas and simply hope that this works out and put as much energy as I can into making it a success. Basically, I'd like to host an RS clan community version of the All-Star games that we have for the NFL, MLB, and other sports games. 20+ clans would participate in 3 separate battles (one for each major timezone -- Australian, American, and European), each of them selecting 10 members from their memberlist to represent their clan in the fight. 10 clans would team up to take on another 10 teams in each battle. Rival clans, such as DF and Corruption (if they were willing to participate), would be placed on opposite teams, and ally clans would be on the same team, to add a bit of spice. I've selected these clans at random by using Excel and a list of 70 different clans. It would not be a community event if it only included the upper or lower echelons of the clan community -- it would have to be a mixture of both -- which is why I decided this course of action was best for the selection process. Of course, I substituted a few clans based on timezones. tongue.gif

Right now, nothing is official. I just want to see if this idea garners enough interest, and if it does, than we can start planning the date, time, participants, and all that jazz. I'm hoping to set up 3 f2p All-Star wars one month from now, on the weekend before St. Patrick's Day if possible, and 3 p2p wars the weekend after that (one for each major timezone, just like I said earlier). Without enough support and participation, however, then this idea will bomb out. So please, as soon as possible, I would appreciate it if each of the clans listed below could post an official response stating whether or not they would be willing to participate in this event, and if your clan is NOT on the list, post if you would be interested. happy.gif

Mister Jack

Please note that the timezone divisions were generated randomly and will be edited as more people accept and sign up.
Also I am not a regular user of these forums it's probably better if you would accept or decline on the RSC post, Here: http://www.zybez.net/community/index.php?s...009064&st=0
Hope to fight with or against you soon biggrin.gif

I would say yes, we need an official word though

By Snowzak on 22/02/2008
I'd say yes if we could actually pull 10 people during Aussie timezone... Karel, liberty to you to accept or decline, tis closer to your zone.

Ok thanks

No cause my reply got deleted sad.gif

By Sygelig on 23/02/2008
Does this mean that we'll be fighting by Aussie time zones?

Dallar

I'm guessing it is, considering its called Australian

By Tnuac on 23/02/2008
Sounds a good way to get the inter-clan relation ships going again. WG'll struggle to pull 10 in ausse timezone, thought its possible.

By Pazenon on 23/02/2008
Hmm, why put us under the Aussie timezone? We have more people who live in Europe and America.

By Zlatan83 on 23/02/2008
We can only pull 10 people anyway, which is max for each clan..

I notice that Damage Incorp. is in all 3, meaning that Wildguard can participate in American and Europe Timezone also.

By ArSeNaLfAn32 on 06/03/2008
Should probably be American timezone, but whatever.
