I've noticed for awhile now that the clan community rarely comes together to do anything other than protesting "apocalyptic" updates. I remember before the release of Bounty Hunter, this was mainly an issue because NI crashed anything that was organized for fun. Now, with Bounty Hunter firmly in place, it should be a bit easier for us to have these sorts of events again, but they're not happening. Perhaps NI's consistant interference led to the decrease of interest in community events so much that it carries on to this day -- I don't know. Regardless, I would like to do my part in bringing them back, and I encourage others to do the same. A bit of fun and lax entertainment is what we all need these days anyways. My idea may not be a realistic one, but I'm a bit of a dreamer anyways, so it's to be expected from me I guess. I mean the UNC and RAW haven't exactly made a universal impact, if I were to be completely honest. blush.gif I'm going to do what I did with those two ideas and simply hope that this works out and put as much energy as I can into making it a success. Basically, I'd like to host an RS clan community version of the All-Star games that we have for the NFL, MLB, and other sports games. 20+ clans would participate in 3 separate battles (one for each major timezone -- Australian, American, and European), each of them selecting 10 members from their memberlist to represent their clan in the fight. 10 clans would team up to take on another 10 teams in each battle. Rival clans, such as DF and Corruption (if they were willing to participate), would be placed on opposite teams, and ally clans would be on the same team, to add a bit of spice. I've selected these clans at random by using Excel and a list of 70 different clans. It would not be a community event if it only included the upper or lower echelons of the clan community -- it would have to be a mixture of both -- which is why I decided this course of action was best for the selection process. Of course, I substituted a few clans based on timezones. tongue.gif Right now, nothing is official. I just want to see if this idea garners enough interest, and if it does, than we can start planning the date, time, participants, and all that jazz. I'm hoping to set up 3 f2p All-Star wars one month from now, on the weekend before St. Patrick's Day if possible, and 3 p2p wars the weekend after that (one for each major timezone, just like I said earlier). Without enough support and participation, however, then this idea will bomb out. So please, as soon as possible, I would appreciate it if each of the clans listed below could post an official response stating whether or not they would be willing to participate in this event, and if your clan is NOT on the list, post if you would be interested. happy.gif European F2P & P2P Followers of Malkav Damage Incorporated Corruption -- accept Final Resistance Demonic Empire Blades of Serenity The Rising Clan Europe Reign of Terror Divine Forces Dynasty of Virtue Solar Angels Red Devil Clan The British Elites Gladiatorz The Death Monkeighs 2mighty The Moriquendi Eternal Honour --accepted I think?
