Being Rude To Other Clans

I'm thinking mostly of BoS here, but there's more to it.
Look, I don't think you guys know how serious it is.
Fighting with another clan is a BIG deal.

It's a LOT more than just flaming.
If we fight with another clan, that hate stays for a long time.
It could last for years.

A short list of clans that we've fought with, causing them to hate us:

Adelais
SE
BoS
Anarchy
Fear (toward the end)
RR (Luckily Mtoise was kind enough not to make a deal out of it)
CL
EoS
RoT
BK
Other minor NH clans
Collision
Sabres

That's off the top of my head.
There willl be quite a few more on top of that.

Most of those clans still hate us. The Collision one has died down a lot, and the Sabres, and RR... but traces remain. The others still have a lot of members who dislike us.

Fighting with other clans is very costly.
When you look at that list, it's a very influential part of the clan community.
This hate can spread. A single fight will take a very long time to repair.
Our hatred of Anarchy is about 4 yeard old now. It's never gone. While Anarchy doesn't even play RS nowadays, they STILL hate us.

You have to understand everyone, fighting is harmful.
All clans fight, but we have quite a list of anti-WG clans.
I was expecting it to shrink. It's growing.

I will be making reparations to our reputation in the upcoming weeks.
THis will include apologies, perhaps an event or two.
We have to show maturity.
This directly affects our recruitment.
With that many clans against us, our recruitment could diminish further.
We can't afford that.
Be on your best behaviour.
WG knows better than to insult other clans.

I belive Sabres,RR,Col, Anarchy and EoS don't hate us that much anymore, well Anarchy died - Sabres are nice to me at least, havent talked to Col and RR much lately and EoS don't care about us.

EoS has a thing against us stil.
I'm thinking of several members on RSC.
And yeah, I said Sabres, RR and Col are better, but there are still undertones.
Anarchy hates us a lot.
They didn't die. They switched to another game.

We for a long time have been one of the most honourable clans out there, fighting with other clans is pretty much the exact opposite of that. I know it's hard to keep your cool when the other clan starts it, heck I've even said some things I shouldn't have before, but let's just try our best to keep our respect and maturity up.

Btw BoS wasn't ENTIRELY our fault. You know Alec was trying to break oiff the alliance, second we did, they declare war? Lol?

It's our fault for giving them a reason not to like us.
They may have broken it off and started a lot, but they would have had a reason for that.
Alliances don't just end for no reaso.
On our side we could have seen to it that the wounds were healed.
We didn't do that.

Even if we make apologies, 75% of the RS community is too immature to accept it. They will continue to hold a grudge against us. Worth a shot though.

And yes, I read.

They didn't make an effort to keep any events going.
They rejected all out pleas for skill wars and allied events....
They weren't even meeting us half way....

I agree with you, alliances don't fall apart over one thing. But apparently this one did.
I tried to hang on to it, when they said it was over Lizzy and I had a long talk.
I understand thier point of view.

That is all that we need to do, is put ourselves in someone else's shoes for a bit.

Now this is a lot to ask for.
A bit more forgivenes and patience.
I think just being generally nicer is what we need.
I know there are a few members who are quick to defend their pride.
That's great that they want to stand up for WG, but if you do it in a rude way, it will end up hurting us.
We won't be seen as pussies for being nice. Try it.

I was just thinking the other day about how many clans and people in general don't like us and think we are pathetic. It's quite sad..I don't really see what we did to deserve it. I mean...no honor clans are getting more respect than us..

We need to strike hard on those who puts WG in a bad light. People just need to grow up and respect other clans if they respect their own clan. People.. come on.. please..

Yeh, I read it. I don't bother flaming members. It effects all of tyhe clan and is a waste of energy.

It's easy to say that, but when it happens, who remembers to practise it?
We all know this is the right thing to do, but ask yourself, when the time comes, will you follow our code of honour?

I haven't been around long enough to have seen all these enemies come about, but from what I have seen and heard about us with SE, and Fidelity, I know we aren't a great clan for friendly relationships. You just have to look on RSC to see we aren't the most liked clan in the world.

So yeah i do think that this is a good idea and definitly good point about Anarchy and i myself have a more personal hatred with them. Anyhows we need to try give ourselfs the best community and try not to argue with other clans as when there members leave they will be less inclined to come to us as we are hated and others looking for clans will be like do not join them if they ask around

We definitely should try to improve our reputation in the RS clan community. We're known there as the inactive pedophiles.

meh...this is why i never read posts like that anymore.....i dont have much self control at not flaming....hence i have a -4 on rsc.......so yes, i will TRY as hard as my self control can muster.

I understand the reasoning. But if you're trying to solve our reputation problems with apologies, you may have some success, but won't get far.

I'll explain:

-We've had a different thinking mode than most of the clan community out there for a while... since the start in fact, we were aRpk, then the fact that we were singled out was emphasized by our "No Returning" so-called policy. Clans were more inclined to send little flames/baits at us, because they could.

-On top of the fact we were singled out, we've developped a certain "pride". Which means that when we receive a small bait, we answer to defend our "morals" or ideas... But as humans dislike those who are different, and we are different, people start to despise us.

-Thirdly, we often are "big mouths, no act", or we have a few people who give the impression that we are. We often provoke clans and don't back it up... The most recent example of this would be the SE Issue.

The flaming done by those three reasons spreads among people who have little or not at all heard of us, thus giving us a bad reputation.
Now that it is too widespread, there are only two possible things to do.

One easy way out: change the clan (as in start fresh)
One hard way out: change our behavior, recruit, win battles, show politeness, performance, dynamism, grow, be good and humble

But that hard way out is extremely hard, as recruiting is failing, because of bad reputation.

It's a vicious circle.

I've talked with Adelais, RoT, and BoS when I hang out in Triforce's channel and I haven't had any problems. Only time talked to RoT was their declaration on RAW on us.

Read and understood, remember, we can only do so much.. If people still hate us after attempts to resolve, it's best to just leave it and not continue the intense rivalry.


All of us need to put in the effort tho, I dont believe in 'majority' for these type of cases but being human, there'll always be a few but oh well.

Usually, a few members can give us a bad reputation, we have to watch out for that

I think some friendly wars. I heard that EOS is fighting Corr in last time, but EOS ever lose because of deficiency of poeple, they need about 20-30 more ppl to win the wars.
Lets help EOS to kick Corr, but if they still lose the war even with our help it can be disaster for our terms.

Definitely. No one wants to join a clan which doesn't get on with the clan community. Its easy to think nothign of a fight with another clan, but on RSC everyone can see it and they make assumptions on the clan based on the members.

When conflict is brewing, say your point and make it solid. If they try to make a come-back, ignore them. If appropriate, ask the topic to be closed.

Read and understood

I never flame or start any fights. When someone flames i usually dont flame back. Allow them to flame no matter how harsh or bad without saying anything back. It wouldn't hurt our reputation if we don't flame.

So behavior towards the clan community should be changed.

Not sure of what to say though, since for most of these conflicts I either had no direct part, or even knew they were going on...oh the joy of being left out, haha.
