It's time for one of my many stories. This one is called:
The Day I Superglued My Eye Closed. Many, many months ago (Like around Febuary) i woke up at my usual time of 6AM, when for my 45 minute jog; went home, then walked to the gym and did my 40 minute gym session. All was going well, I arrived home at about 7:45AM and jumped in the shower, after getting out of the shower i changed into my PJs cause i like to have breakfast in my jammie jams. I walked into my bedroom and packed my school bag and checked to see if i had any money in my wallet ... This is when it all went wrong.
I noticed that the clasp on my wallet was breaking, so i thought "Why not put a little bit of superglue behind it, to strengthen it so it doesn't break'.
I walked into the dining room and grabbed a small tube of super glue. I removed the lid and squeezed, but nothing came out, it was a new tube.
So i went into the kitchen and cut the tip of the tuby end thingo, and as i was walking back to the dining room i continued to squeezed the tube, again nothing came out.
The cap needed to be popped. So i looked around for the lid that has the poky thing.
I popped the cap.
Little did i know that because of all the pressure i had put in the tube that it would break and super glue would go everywhere.
My eye burned. So i did the natural reflex.
I went to rub out the sting.
I had super glue all over my hand.
And thats when i realised ... My hand was glued to my eye. (Sorry don't have a picture of this bit).
At this time it's 8:15AM. I run up to my mum and step dads room. "Mum MUM! I superglued my eye!" (Mum has this issue of supergluing herself to everything) She rolls over "Don't be silly Laura go get ready for school."
This is the part when i burst into tears. And mum jumped up. So she told me to jump in the shower to see if it would loosen. But i could only remove my bottoms as my hand was stuck to my face. My hand didn't remove from my face so mum told me to go lay down in bed and relax and she'd called the hosptial.
I had to go to the hospital, where my mum works, and has lots of doctor and nurse friends. But mum couldn't take me to the hospital, she had a conference in Melbourne, so my bf took me, but it did not stop mum from txting to all her friends 'Go to the A&E for a laugh my daughter is there".
I had to lay in a hospital bed whilst the nurses rinsed my eye for 5 hours. My hand came undone. And for a further 3 hours after to try and unglue my eye. I had waves of nurses and doctors come in to say 'Hi'. I left the hospital.

I went to the eye specialist 3 days later. He told me all i could do was wait because the superglue was too packed on to cut it open. He said it'd take a week to un stick.
4 weeks later ....

It took 6 weeks for the glue to wear off. Foir those 6 weeks i had a clump of eyelashes that where turned inwards scratching down my cornea. My cornea is still scratched and blurred, but not as bad.
The end.
