Training
By Havochaha on 10/01/2009
Hey yeah holy shit Omar posting something about training omg /end sarcasm.
I know all of you are sick of me continusly pressuring you into training but i thought id post why.
# Total Members: 85
# Average P2P Combat: 123.84
# Average F2P Combat: 116.68
I Personally want to see that f2p combat average 120.5.
When a clan looks at another clans memberlist they look at two things first.
One Total members and two F2p cmb avg.
So yeah i know lot of you like stfu omar ill train when i want but when you do train every exp u get every lv you get makes wg even stronger. You might not think so but that one extra defence level can make you last a minute longer in a war which could even turn the tide for us during war. That one attack or strength level can get us the ko when we pile our opponents.
Honestly if you dont even know how to train you can always ask me im always availabe for knowledge on training for ive tried many methods. Can't afford gear to train talk to glenn or me glenn will help you get money and i know ways to do it.
You get bored easily during training ill find you things to do that can entertain you. Go on youtube jack off play on website game sites.
Just remember one thing for every level you get is every level wg gets.
One day my goal of WG at 120 f2p combat will come never know when.
edit 1: If this doesnt convince you to train or persuade you to train a little more I wont mind i know it wont be easy. I just hope i convinced one person to train harder.

Honestly, I try to train. I get busy especially now that school has started and indoor percussion season is starting in roughly a week. A plan of mine is to get 83 slayer, which can only come through combat. Might take a while, but it is a goal and I plan on achieving it.

stfu omar
I resort to skilling when I'm inactive.

Slayerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

By NightRawrs on 10/01/2009
I agree that training would help the clan, and i think that we should try and push for 120+ F2P combat average, i've disscussed this with a few members of staff.
By Ubg-Fcbruges on 10/01/2009
Yes, training should always be encouraged. But it needs MANY months, even to get it to 118 by example.
By Troll84 on 10/01/2009
I personally do wish that people who are slightly lower in combat stats would spend like I don't know, a month, dedicate a month as your 'big training month' where in RS apart from come to events, all you do is train for a month. Do it in the most fun way possible, do Slayer tbh

Bandits is incredibly boring, and for those of you who prefer varying the skills you train, it would be very boring.
It would really help the clan, especially if everyone chose to pull together and do it at the same time, we could improve so rapidly as a group.
I personally would like to encourage people to make group training events for themselves. For example, you could have events that are based on a race to see who can get the most defence/att/strength exp in one day? And set it so that people can only get attendance if they get like 100k exp plus. I would whole-heartedly support this. Members can put conditions on attendance gains for their events.
Keep the ideas flowing, Omar

Maybe the thing you suggested in lvl 3 a few weeks ago would help, remember that massive idea you had that we used to have?

I will get over 116.68 just for you omar.
By David on 10/01/2009
Personally, I'm all for training. I just think that all this talk about people being lazy and stuff like that is what is hurting the clan most.
I mean relate it to real life. A teacher gives you HW and you're not exactly "Thank so you much, I know this will help me greatly." No. Instead you're like "Oh damn...don't want this." And you put it off. No I know you'll say "But I do it anyway." Yeah...because you have to and you know there are major consequences if you don't, either by your parents or your teachers.
The HW is supposed to help you understand the material, in the same way that gaining levels helps you last longer in wars.
Now think about this, we all know the quests are beneficial to players, and thus beneficial to the clan as a whole. If you have access to the tormented demons, you have a good money making source so you can participate more in PKRIs, or raids. If you've completed DT you can be a mage in those wars or PKRIs. Having completed all quests, the entirety of the game is opened to you, and you're able to pick and choose from all the good methods of making money to training all sorts of skills. Both of which are beneficial to the clan. Lets say we start asking people to get the Quest Cape.
You might say "Well, there are more skills you have to level in order to get the Quest Cape, with combat really all you need to train are four skills." True, but the highest level you need in order to get the Quest Cape is 72 (I think, maybe 73) Woodcutting. That's measly compared to going from 90-99, or 90-95. So why not? In the end it's by far less experience than maxing out which is obviously what is wanted here. I just did a little calculation and 120 F2P would mean flat 97 melee stats with 96 HP (was a guess as to what it would be with 97 flat melees). That is by FAR more experience than getting all skills to above 50 and some above 60 or 70. Would technically take less time. So why not?
Oh quests are boring, some are really long. Well, that is how some people view training combat, boring and really long.
By Dilz621 on 10/01/2009
Ill pay for people to get levels, guardian +
By Mickey on 10/01/2009
Can't train, I'm maxed ffs
By Havochaha on 10/01/2009
David i totally understand that thats why im moving from saying you people are lazy and more of train harder so that its just like not giving them a new assignment but more of asking them to work a little bit harder.
Also a made a guide for training.

Agreed. Even if you just train during the weekdays at bandits while doing HW, you'll get a bunch of levels in no time. Make it more fun and race one of your friends

I've always loved doing that, since it gives me extra motivation to kick their

but you don't have perfect tank stats.
Go get 99 mage, agility and prayer nub.
/me=hypocrite cuz he doesn't play rs =/
By Reticked on 10/01/2009
Another OPH would be good, although the last one was around too long to be effective for everyone, I ended up winning with over 40 combat related levels gained (mage/range didn't count I think)
Because of that, the most I could gain would be like 22, cuz I got so close to maxing
By Mmangler on 15/01/2009
Great post. Training is important and yes, it is boring at times. You can relieve some of the boredom by switching between two different combat skill. I switched between mage and agility and yes, I know agility is not strictly a combat skill, on my way to maxing both. Now, if I only had that combat experience to go along with it. Yes, I am wait for it TRAINING it so I can be a stronger asset for the clan.

Hi. I have a quest cape.
Guess how many of you are maxed or nearly maxed and don't have that? No clue really.
So... If the nooby lvl 106 f2p can do it...
STOP BEING LAZY FFS!
And don't even bother to tell me to train. Because if you're doing that, then you obviously don't even realize how much slayer I do. Over half my weekly xp total is cmb related. (Summon NOT included for cmb xp) And I got 91 mage yesterday.
By rachellove9 on 16/01/2009
Omar, I still love you. I hate to train, but I am doing it. I got lvl 103 f2p last night.
