Google Chrome

By Sithofwookie on 11/01/2009
Well I just go Google Chrome web browser and its really sweet and stuff but when I'm on the forums it doesn't show the scrolling news box at the top, a lot of the signatures don't show, the place were it has raid alert and all those tabs and some of the emoticons don't show. Is there a setting thing I have to mess?

By Nick on 11/01/2009
I don't think so. I am pretty sure it only works with FireFox.

By Sithofwookie on 11/01/2009
Just noticed it doesn't even show the banner!

Google Chrome sucks. It keeps a log of ALL the websites you've been too.

WG.com forums were meant for Firefox anyway. hash.png

I can't see any decent reason to use Google chrome...

If you're getting pop-up's continously perhaps it would be better to deal with the cause (The virus/spyware that you obviously have) rather than sticking a plaster over the problem by changing to a (relatively) obscure browser.

Its only a matter of tiem before you get pop up problems with it too, that pop up testing site may be good.... but I bet it doesnt cover spyware thats allready there.

Firefox > all browsers

Well, I have really only been designing for Firefox, because that is what I use and test with. However Chrome should be supported, and even IE6 should barely work.

I found the problem as to why its not displaying, however fixing it isn't going to be easy.

TBH, Google Chrome, is probably the fastest browser i have ever used. Its loading times are insane. The lack of settings to play with, does annoy me, But still. Its mad quick.

By Mojohaza1 on 11/01/2009
google chrome is good with pop-up blocking

By Sithofwookie on 11/01/2009
Well I found out that its a virus and not firefox so I went back to that. The virus spyware thing is Possible_Obfus-3 and my anti-virus thing says its unable to be cleaned, quarantined, or deleted. I'm going to download Avast and see if that will do it.

By Buzzard1985 on 12/01/2009
I'm using Opera and half the stuff on this site doesn't appear, idc though lol.

Sith

Download A application called hijack this. Here's the link: http://www.download.com/Trend-Micro-Hijack...4-10227353.html

Then run it, and save the logs.

And then post the logs here. And we will go from there.

Also do a scan, to see if that will tell the name of the virus, which will make it easier for me.

By Sithofwookie on 14/01/2009
I hope this is the log your talking about , also the name of the Virus is Possible_Obfus-3
