Applications should be well thought-out and detailed.
Applications of quality take a while to write, and that's why no one has posted them yet...

This outlines how unpopular skills events are.
Maybe this rank should be handed out as a punishment for bad behavior on raids.

What do you have to offer as an Event Leader?
i have been an Event Leader for over a year so i do know what it takes to be it and i think i could do it again. Members who were around back then know that i used to come up with different kind of events, new ones, something that other clans have never done yet and as we all know that's why WG is so special, we are always first in everything. So i can offer my experience and variaty of Events i would bring with me. Biggest events i have made are for instance Skill Olympics and many different kind of skilling competitions.
Is there anything coming up in the next 6 months that could make you inactive?
exams in 5 months, would be inactive for 1 week
What puts you above other people applying for Event Leader?
well actually i don't see anyone else applying for it lol but i think my experience with this job would put me abover other people who want to apply for this job.
Is there anything else you would like to say?
since i have been here for so long i know what people like and what they don't. People might think that's acording to my attendance points i'm not active enough, well they might be right. Right now i could be more active and i know that but back then when i was a staff member i was one of the most active members in WG with attendance points of more than 200, and i believe i can get that active once again.

What do you have to offer as an Event Leader?I have been in WG for a long time now almost 3 years and in this time I have attend many events. I have a rolling count of over 100 and attended many more before this new system.
- I know what events people would be interested in
- I would work on improving event attendance by doing more popular events and asking which events people would attend
- I would try new ideas and new events and modify some of the events we have already done to make them more appealing.
- I would be open to listen for ideas on how we can improve events, what events people would like and what new events we could try out.
- I would be reading and checking the forums regularly in order to check on suggestions made by the members and helping to solve problems that may arise
Is there anything coming up in the next 6 months that could make you inactive? In august i am on holiday for 2 weeks other then that nope
What puts you above other people applying for Event Leader?
I think what puts me above others applying is that I am a long term dedicated member. I am always willing to go out of my way in order to help out others in the clan. I am also very active and attend many different events and always attend when I am online.
Is there anything else you would like to say?
As i have been in WG for such a long time now i know mainly which events get a higher attendance then others and those which people are more interested in. Although making and leading events will be my main responsibilities if i am given this position, I also know what it takes to help the clan grow. I will set a good example because i am very active, will make more events and help to moderate the IRC and the forums. Being active in IRC means i can help out the new members pointing them in the right direction and helping to settle conflicts that may arise.

What do you have to offer as an Event Leader?
Well I like to believe I could bring new and interesting events to WG and also I have been in WG for almost a year now so I would like to think I know what events people in the clan would like to attend and which ones they wouldn’t
Is there anything coming up in the next 6 months that could make you inactive?
apart from my exams in may which is only one big final exam I would only be inactive for like a week or so
What puts you above other people applying for Event Leader?
what I think puts me above the others applying is I am active, I attend events when I am free and don’t doge them because I think they are boring or whatever
Is there anything else you would like to say?
Well I haven’t been an event leader before but I would give it my best shot so hopefully I get the chance to show my abilities

What do you have to offer as an Event Leader?
What do I have to offer? Mainly, I’ve got new ideas for events new approaches and a willingness to cooperate - I’ll address these three separately.
Ideas: During my most recent stint with WG, I’ve suggested many different ideas for all aspects of the clan - community, combat, skills. I believe that I can come up with more ideas not only for events but ideas to help the clan as a whole. Ideas that would help supply some motivation to do what needs to be done for the clan. Not only that, but I can come up with ideas for new types of events, hopefully some that you’ve never heard of before and that are incredibly fun and interesting.
Approaches: I can provide new ways to go about making events hopefully more enticing for people. New ways to get people interested in participating. Put a spin on the types of events that we do already have to make them hopefully less boring for those that think of them as boring, and for those that don’t even more fun. I’ll do my best to include everyone so as to appeal to the majority. A way to include all parts of the clan in our events to try and mend any wounds there might be.
Cooperation: I know people might see me as an aggressive person, or someone unwilling to budge when it comes to my ideas, but I beg to differ. In all my suggestion I ALWAYS say that I’m more than willing to take constructive criticism, that the things I say are never set in stone. All my ideas would be modifiable, so if someone felt it was unfair, and enough people felt the same way, I could alter it. If someone sees a better alternative, then I would change it. If something was redundant, or unneeded, I’d scrap it. Sure I argue for keeping my ideas the way they are, because that’s how I feel, but I’m more than willing to listen to other ideas and if they make more sense, then it’s in my best interest to change them. I can offer a sense of unity - that I wouldn’t be some guy that just does stuff the way I want, but that I’d include everyone so it’s not my idea, but everyone’s idea because everyone would have contributed.
Is there anything coming up in the next 6 months that could make you inactive?
In the next six months, I’ve got spring break where I’ll most probably be going to the beach and then there is graduation where I’ll be on vacation and getting set up for college. The latter is quite far away so that shouldn’t affect my immidiate activity, and spring break is quite short and is only a “maybe” as of now.
What puts you above other people applying for Event Leader?
What puts me above the other people applying? Well I think it would be my background - not in RS, but in my real life. I’ve lived all over the world, and have experienced true diversity. I’ve dealt with being unable to please everyone because of so many differing views. But because of that, I’ve learned to listen to all sides of an argument - even if I have already formed an opinion I’ll listen because you could easily change my mind.
I can make compromises, but can also stand up for what needs to be done. This may sound very petty, but as an American I got a lot of shit while I lived in Africa, and I dealt with it, argued for my country and never backed down - I was the only American in the class and I held my ground. I can handle pressure - while living in Africa the city I was living in went into civil unrest, riots ensued and markets went up in flames, but instead of staying home I went to volunteer with the American Embassy to do whatever they wanted me to do - and I did it.
I can take the initiative. If I get the feeling something won’t happen, I’ll start it off myself. While in Africa, I was able to start up a weekly game of ultimate frisbee and kept it going for at least a year.
Is there anything else you would like to say?
I know I just recently posted a leaving topic, and some might think that because I wanted to leave then, I shouldn’t get the position. I think the fact that I’m still here overpowers that. With all the stuff I was unhappy with, I decided to stay and help WG. I would think that would mean something.
Some might think I'm inactive, but that's only because times aren't great for me. When I get word of an event, I go. George knows this, whenever there is a mass I attend. I stop what I'm doing and I go. Getting the position would help boost my visual activity because I could make events more friendly for my timezone, and Aussies in general.
I'd like to point out that I make many contributions, or at least I try to. I am constantly coming up with ideas that I think would help the clan. Not only that, but I put a lot of time into the things that I do. I think it's evident by the length of a majority of my posts. In many cases I don't just type up some quick message, instead I think things through and try to articulate them well. I go out of my way a lot of the time to come up with analogies so my thoughts are expressed more clearly, and I think that means something. The fact that I'm willing to add more than I need to so everyone can understand what I'm saying says something about how I'd act as an Event Leader. I'd want everyone to have a decent chance at participation even if it means a not so great time for me.
I’ve been a member of WG for a long time. In two days it’ll be my second anniversary. I’ve never held a position like this before, so I don’t have the experience of doing the job that some of the other applicants might have, however I did what I had to do to learn about the job. I asked about the tough and intense things that might put some people off, but despite all that, I still want the position. That’s got to mean something.

What do you have to offer as an Event Leader?
I am an Aussie based member so i can organise a few events for the Australians so that we have something to do when we get home from school/work, there may no be many of us it would be nice to have an Event Leader to help organise a few more events for our times. I have awesome organization skills (And i'm not just bragging). I am also interested in organising several skilling events for the few skillers that remain from the skilling section of WG. I get along with everyone and am willing to take the time to see what kind of events people want to see more of.
Is there anything coming up in the next 6 months that could make you inactive?
Nope. In 10 months tho i will have my exams.
What puts you above other people applying for Event Leader?
I have organised this kinda stuff before, in IRL, WoW and RS. Being a co-leader/council member of a few RS clans (Awhile ago now) and running several WoW raids and instane runs plus other things for the guild i was in gives me experience in all areas. I'm good using forums (as in admin area) and IRC.
Is there anything else you would like to say?
I know i am a fairly new member but i have been paying attention and we really do need an Aussie event Leader, I will help encourage Australians to remain members and to invite more members; I won't just specially focus on Australians, but it is an important area that needs to be focused on a bit more. There has been much discussion about the lacking of skilling events and so putting a few more of them down would help encourage more members to be active.
Thanks for reading =)
