Tan from a can?

It is the time of year when I could start a tanning program so when June gets here I have an all over tan. What do you think?

Does anyone do any tanning themself?

Tans are over rated love, I'm irish and proud. As for that tan in a can shit, fuck dat. Pretty much every posh girl I know is completely orange and its just horrible.

Same goes for sun beds really, they're properly bad for you; melanoma and all that palaver.

Pale skin is where it's at srsly.

Just dont go crazy and make yourself look like orange with those tan things the girls in the UK tend to use it looks awful ...

i do it pretty often and it's awesome. Nowadays there are so many cremes that makes tanning even healthy for your skin. It is pretty expensive BUT it looks great and it's good for your skin if you do it right. Worse thing you can do is going to a cheap solarium, it will ruin your skin. Just don't be afraid of spending some more on it, you will feel the difference, trust me. Your skin will look and feel much better and you will be much more self confident.

There's this girl at school that uses fake tan, her pores are so blocked her whole face is covered in spots, but she keeps tanning to make her look hot, so yeh, good fight.

sun tanning = good
bed tanning = bad

sun tanning = Tan
bed tanning = ORANGE

Sun tanning = safe with sunscreen
bed tanning = skin cancer with or without sunscreen

Well tanning is at least one way to ruin a nice body.

Too pale makes you look sick and too tanned just looks wrong and off.

Don't use any sort of cremes of lotions or use a solarium. Just wait till the sun comes around and get a natural slightly tanned skin.

i reckon a slight natural tan would be the way to go. the tanning beds and stuff are dangerous for starters and probs damn expensive(I'm guessing here) and people have a way of overdoing the spray on stuff. i remember my date to my yr 11 formal overdid the spray on stuff and was like a fuzzy orange

If I was gonna do anything I'd do the beds. I mean, I don't want to be orange, but I also don't want to look like a ghost.

Rachel don't listen to any1 who says "omg you do it and you get cancer" they're still living in 20th century. I'm in a dermatology course (for ppl who don't know it, i'm studying medicine) and I believe to know a bit more about it.

It's true that you can get cancer by using sun beds. It's also true that you won't if you do it right. When teenagers (and most of them haven't even tried nor informed themselves) ^^ say stuff like that it's just stereotyping and stuff they are suposed to say since they have "heard" about it.

But there is also some truth in what they're saying, it is pretty damn expensive (it costs me ~20€/5 mins) I do it only once in two weeks, sometimes once a week. I don't go too far, i like a healthy brown, not organge tan.

like other ppl already said, spraying might go wrong lol but you can get it done by professionals, it's always safe.

No, you should not speed tan or use artificial tanning products. The reason for the first is skin cancer. Your body tans as a defense from UV rays. Speeding up the assault on your skin speeds up the defensive process and is not good for your body. You may look great now in your youth but the process destroys the elasticity of your skin and you will pay when you get older with premature wrinkling, which will make you look older than your chronological age.

Using chemicals is not natural and there are always consequences when you disrupt the natural balance. Turning orange from a tanning product may only be a short term consequence. You may end up paying a greater price in the future. "Better living through chemistry" does not apply to your body when it comes to tanning.

I don't like the idea of getting a tan. Its much more fun to spend some time outside, and its free.

I'm asian though, so its not like I'm naturally the whitest person either

EDIT: Lol, by "white", I mean my skin isn't naturally white. Not trying to be offensive or anything Although some asians have really white skin too

Your human, you get white in the winter and tanned in the summer. Those beds are not good for you, and you don't need it.

No tan please im fuckin sick fed up of sitting next to hot girls in winter that have a radioactive glow off them then look like leopards when it starts to ware off plus it smells of beef

Rachel, im with Bam to behonest. I have a tanning machine in my house (pics on request if you dont believe me), I use it sometimes and from personal experiences, the girls love it. Ok im not white, but im not orange, i just look like i've got an appealing 'glow' about me. If used in moderation, its actually good for your complection(sp?).

Artificial tans are bad for two reasons, first, they look fake and unnatural like an alien from Mars. Second, the things they use are bad for your skin. And as an extra bonus, if it goes wrong it can be pretty awkward.

That is why Colorado is the best place to live. It would be cold and snowing one day, and the next it is sunny and 60 degrees outside. No joke, that's why you don't see dirty snow piled up on the side of the road even tho it snows all the time.

Natural tan in the sun. I've never been in a tanning bed but I'd guess its not too healthy and I like lying out in the sun anyways. Unfortunately you might have to wait til summer, depending on where you live.

I'm sure the guys opinions are much more usefull but i'll say mine anyway

Umm i don't see the big thing about tans... kinda weird coming from me because i'm very tanned but yeh i don't think it looks that great anyway

If you wanna get a tan then go on holiday or something because tan beds and sprays are unhealthy/turn out BADDD
