Mtoise's introduction

1. Tell us about your RS history, and also about your account (e.g. how you came to name it how it is named, what you like to do etc) :
Well where to start, mtoise is a lovely creation back from November 2004, having been introduced to this game by a friend of a friend who "needed help getting items from one account to another" which incidently was during the shield of Array Quest. From then on my curiosity grew and I went on to make an account. Why mtoise, well toise is my IRL nickname (don't ask) and M well yes that's Mark.
I plodded along nicely in RS for a few months learning the ropes and training and along the way I met a friend called Gringle who in March 2005 introduced me to my first and only clan; Runeraiders. My history in RR is somewhat long winded however I'll attempt to give you a brief overview. Having settled into RR I was then to embark on a rise through the ranks. In July 2005 I was put forward for election for Junior council and I romped my way to last place with 2 votes! Needless to say I was eventually promoted to Junior council at the second attempt, things went cosey and I began to get more involved with Junior raiders, FFR, WOE (FFR and WOE were sub-pking squads within RR) and over a period of time I was promoted to council and then senior council at a rate of speed which was a bit of a daze.
Fast-forwarding to December 2005 changes were happening in RR and Rezer88 was planning to leave, his one last request was that I should be made Leader of RR. Of course I accepted, I mean who wouldn't.
From then on it all seems like a blur, so many things happened, The P2P war with WG, and incidently that's how I became on speaking terms to His_lordship; the little incident of the "leaked" video of the tactics. Eventually the war was fought and WG won, however that was only the start. Then there was wars with many a clan, VR, Awaken, CL, DDB to name a few and of course who could forget the X vs DS war, which was incredible, so many people in one place at one time; in leading the pile in I walked past DS without even seeing them (dial-up ftw at the time).
As time went on things settled down but real life work forced me to take a step back into the Advisor role, coming to help at every opportunity as Tay and Smile lead RR through the Summer of 2007, the EOS fights and more. Through 2008 not a lot happened for me as I was content in my Advisor and retired role. However 2009 was different I noticed things I wasn't happy with, yet felt myself becoming increasingly detached from the clan, and it was feeling less like home.
I left RR two weeks ago and yes it was the hardest decision I've had to make in 'scape terms ever. My reasons were plentiful and I've talked a short while with His_lordship about these.
So that's my clan history in a nut-shell.
As for 'scape at present I just like to have fun, personally I was sick of all the "drama" that being at the top level of a clan hierachy had attached to it and hence why i wanted to distance myself from it. I've just achieved what will probably be my last 99 skill (range) although I am a bit of an attack noob! However time will tell.
Why WG? you may ask, well it's simple; "Lordy" offered me the buffet! (He'll know what I mean).
2. Tell us more about yourself (Your age, where you are from, gender, Hobbies, Music, What you dislike/like):
I'm Mark, I'm 28 and I'm from Middlesbrough in the North-east of england. I like Golf, and football (it's not soccer!!!), in terms of education I have a degree and masters degree in Sports Science (Biomechanics) however due to all this I've ended up working in Finance! How Bizarre! I have a silly sense of humour and I am a little witty, however I do hate arrogance!
3. How did you hear about WG and what makes you want to join the clan:
I've known of WG for a Long long time.
4. Are there any current WG members who you already know: His_Lordship, Narita (That big nub) and Well although he's now ex WG Anthony69.
5. Any additional comments:
None really, however if you do have any questions do fire away. However on an activity note, due to the nature of my work I'm very much of a weekend only player, however given time during the week I shall attempt to be active.
