About a year ago, WG had the Emeritus Rank.

The Member Rank
And the Senior Member Rank

Emeritus was only given to Raid Leaders, Council, and Senior Members.

It was an honor to recieve the rank.

This is a reward not a punishment.

Definition of emeritus.

1. Retired or honorably discharged from active professional duty, but retaining the title of one's office or position: dean emeritus of the graduate school; editor in chief emeritus.

2. Retired but retaining an honorary title corresponding to that held immediately before retirement: a professor emeritus.

Means the same thing.
You should be honoured to receive that rank.
Only very respected people received it in the past.

im happy if only honored members are but i just don't want to loose my work is all

Just wondering what you think we should do Jaxx? you admitted in your returning post that you would only be forum active which instantly disqualifies you for any rank other than Emeritus...

yes yes, i do and truely agree that in all fairness i don't deserve guardian, but i can see Emertis being handed out to alot of members not worthy of such rank. Cough possibly me.

Emeritus is NOT given out to Ex Members.

Jaxx, I know you worked really hard for them, However you have decided to retire.

Therefore you are deciding not to come to one event a week, which is required for Trial Guardian.

And since you were Higher Guardian, you can qualify for Emeritus. Emeritus is a very valued rank, it is only given to people that have stayed in the clan for 4 months and have achieved Higher Guardian. There has been exceptions, for good reasons though.

Same boat, same boat. I was a mod for over two years on the original ranking scale, I was an elite guardian on the last ranking system, and now I'm back to Emeritus, which I've held once before.

It doesn't really hurt us, Emeritus is essentially a high community rank. Under this ranking system as long as people like you and I are RS retired, then it is the only thing that works.
