The Wilderness Guardians (WG) is a RuneScape clan founded by His Lordship in 2003. WG is one of the oldest clans in existence, with a long and rich history spanning over 20 years through multiple eras and iterations of the game. They have also established themselves as one of the most famous and well-known clans within the RuneScape community, and remain active in both RuneScape 3 and Old-School RuneScape as of 2025.
WG began as an Anti-PK clan and slowly evolved into one of the dominant PvP clans in the early years of RuneScape 2 until the end of 2006. From 2007 onwards they began expanding as a community - hosting real life meetings, attending RuneFest events, and even producing some merchandise. Their media also gained them attention, which included an impressive website and several Flash Animations in the early years, through to a Golden Gnomes entry and a popular documentary about the history of PvP clans. From 2010 onward, they developed a positive relationship with Jagex - the producers of RuneScape - which resulted in a level of fame and popularity that few other clans can claim to share.
Since 2013, WG has operated separately in both of the live versions of RuneScape. In RuneScape 3 WG is a social clan led by PineappleTom - having over 200 active members and a maxed Citadel, and partaking in casual PvM. In Old-School RuneScape WG is a PvP clan led by Ghost Sabre and Mini Horse - hosting frequent PK trips and wars, alongside a variety of non-PvP events.
