[[File:Veteran Medal.jpg|thumb|The Medals were the first awards offered by the Wilderness Guardians to clan members in 2004 and 2005.

Overview

Medals were first announced on 11 December 2004[1], and were intended to remain rare and prestigious awards with only one or two being issued per month. All of the recipients were hand-picked by His Lordship, though a single "veteran" medal was made available for use by any member who had previously been registered on the AvidGamers Website. The purpose of the medals was to recognise exceptional hard work and contributions to the clan, and had various titles - some are obvious, such as "Persistant Attendance" and "Forum Contribution" recognising event and forum activity respectfully; though others such as "Outstanding Service" are more ambiguous. Members of the Month also received medals (as "Member for [Month]").

The medals came in the form of graphics made for the recipients' forum signatures. These were designed by His Lordship in Flash, and featured his real-life signature. The rectangular colours at the bottom are believed to represent real-world medal ribbons.

Recipients

As follows are the medals awarded on the S4 Forums in chronological order, organised by the date on which they were announced.

11 December 2004

  • A medal for Tequilajade was produced, but no copy of the graphic survives.
