The Forums are one of two primary communication methods used by the Wilderness Guardians outside of the RuneScape game - the other being Discord. The forums allow for non-real-time communication between members, and are used for applications, scheduling events such as wars, and general discussion which is not time-sensitive.

Modern Forums

Main article: IPB4 Forums

The current forums, known as IPB4, have been in use since 24 June 2017, and are primarily used by the Old-School RuneScape section of the clan. RuneScape 3 players in WG are not required to use the forums. The forums use Invision software, and as of September 2024 have over 5,000 registered accounts, over 14,000 topics, and over 125,000 total posts.

History

WG has changed forums multiple times over the course of its history, and early historical accounts would be divided into segments or "eras" based on the forum used at the time, e.g. "the Z6 era". Prior to the creation of DarkScape, all sections of WG used forums - including the junior clan Descendant Guardians and non-PvP arm Silent Guardians.
