3v0luti0n_X (3v0, also sometimes spelled "3v0lution_X") was a clan founded in 2005, and is notable for being one of the top clans in 2007, as well as the clan of Durial321, the player responsible for the Falador Massacre on 6 June 2006. An alliance between 3v0 and WG was formed in August 2007, and lasted until the clan's closure in May 2009.

History

3v0 was founded in 2005 as a US Central-based F2P and P2P clan. Slinger X, Sharpiesmurf, and Miss Diggler were the original leaders, with Torreoria and Prospa joining the leadership team in 2007.[1] 3v0 was a largely central-American clan, and focused on both F2P and P2P multi, though they also hosted a range of skilling and fun events. Durial321, the player responsible for the Falador Massacre in 2006 was a member of 3v0, albeit on a new account after Durial321 was permanently banned. 3v0 also had alliances with Golden Elites and Elite Order.[2]

3v0 saw most of their major success in 2007, being considered to have "come out of nowhere" as one of the top P2P clans during the summer, and having over 100 members. They developed a rivalry with another top clan, The Stricken Cards[3], and on 6 December 2007 3v0 and TSC fought a 4 hour and 30 minute P2P war, which TSC claimed to have been the longest P2P fight in RuneScape history at the time. 3v0 outpulled with around 76 members to TSC's 71, though TSC ultimately proved victorious.[4] 3v0 is also known to have fought and defeated other top clans including Damage Incorporated and Reign of Terror.

Alliance

WG and 3v0 on an allied PK trip, August 2007.

An alliance between 3v0 and WG was formed in August 2007, though the reasons for this are unknown. The relationship was considerably successful, lasting for almost two years, and several videos exist of joint PK trips and wars between the two clans. 3v0 also competed against WG in the 2007 Skill Olympics.

Closure

In early 2009, 3v0 was torn in a leadership rift which resulted in the clan's collapse. Two new clans were formed as a result, one of which was Zero Tolerance to which WG formed a new alliance with.[5]

An attempt was made to revive 3v0 in early 2009[6], which included a merge with another clan known only as "IL" in June 2009.[7] This iteration of 3v0 is believed to have been unsucessful.
