Exodus
An exodus is an event where a significant number of members leave a clan and subsequently form a clan of their own. While the phrase mass-leave is more commonly used to describe the departure of a large number of players within a considerably short timeframe, the term "exodus" specifically refers to a new clan created by all or the majority of the leaving members (also called a breakaway clan); when the group of players joins a pre-existing clan or go their separate ways, it is simply referred to as a "mass-leave". WG has sustained several exodi over the course of its history, and several of the subsequent clans have sustained exodi of their own. Relationships with exodi vary - some have become allies and others rivals.

The Synergy
Main article: The Synergy
The Synergy (Syn) was an exodus of WG formed by Eragon Cd in 2004.
Shortly after opening, a rivalry began between WG and Syn, and hostilities lasted for around four or five months. Eventually, Eragon Cd and His Lordship worked out a peace treaty and an alliance. Syn also took part in WG's first Anniversary. In late 2004/early 2005 several exodi broke off from Syn including the Death Jesters and Sleeping Dragons, though Syn survived the breakup. Syn also helped restart The Federation in mid-2005, and even after WG left the Federation they retained their alliance with Syn. Details regarding the termination of the alliance are unknown.
Syn continued to grow and progress through the ranks, reaching their peak around mid-2006. Unfortunately, a second series of exodi crippled the clan, and Syn never managed to fully recover from the loss. They remained open for a further two years and restored some of their strength, but were unable to cope with the changes made to PvP on 10 December 2007. Syn closed in June 2008 after around four years.
