Emeritus is a special rank for retired Old School RuneScape members who have either quit or are very inactive. It is a prestigious rank which rewards contributions to the clan by giving them greater access than other retired OSRS players such as Guildsmen. Emeritus is usually earned through years of service to WG either as a high ranking member or as a long serving staff member. The rank gives the same access to forums and Discord as Honoured Guardians have and an optional rank in Clan Chat.

The Emeritus rank was introduced on 6 March 2005 by Oaktownrules[1].
