Master Guardian

Master Guardian, MG for short, is a secondary rank within the Old School RuneScape unit of the Wilderness Guardians. It is a PvP related rank introduced in 2019. To apply for MG a member must first reach the Guardian rank then post a separate application for MG. Master Guardians retain their primary rank within the OSRS unit. The rank is displayed via an award on the forums and also by a Memberlist and a secondary Discord role.

Outline

The rank was introduced as a progression system for PKers within WG. Members of MG gain exclusive access to a private discussion forum and a private Discord channel. MG members get priority during matched number wars and on other limiting events such as mace trips. Progression to MG is usually necessary if a member wishes to obtain a PvP staff rank such as Officer or Warlord.

Master Guardians are held to higher standards than the rest of WG when it comes to PKing. 115 combat and level 94 magic and ranged is required before joining as well as a decent amount of PKing equipment and various other PvP related requirements.
