The TeamSpeak Rant (also known as WG Leader Goes Nuts and His Lordship on TeamSpeak) is a recording of His Lordship in 2005. The recording was created around August/September 2005 and was directed to a group of Wilderness Guardians and ex-WG members known as the "TeamSpeak Crew", who were responsible for a backstabbing incident during a WG PK Trip. The recording was leaked to the wider clan community, and has since become one of the clan's most infamous pieces of media.

Overview

Around August/September of 2005 - 2 years into WG's history - a group of WG and ex-WG members known as the "TeamSpeak Crew" (presumably named for their activity on the clan's TeamSpeak server) were aggrevated by the clan's leadership. Notable members of the TeamSpeak Crew were Kenshln, Dhboy123, and Calmax. Using TeamSpeak, the crew convinced other WG members (and some non-WG, mostly members of Dark Slayers and Harathoi) to backstab the clan during an American PK trip, led by HavocAngel and Krow08. The crew and their supporters proceeded to attack the other WG members in deep Wilderness by casting Ice Barrage from behind the Member's Gate. As the WG members were mostly using only melee (it was uncommon to bring multiple combat styles in this era of gameplay), they could not retaliate and were killed with relative ease.

The Rant

His Lordship's hand-written script of the TeamSpeak Rant, with the names of the players involved

Upon receiving news of the event, His Lordship was furious - but as he was living in Australia and the TeamSpeak Crew were Americans, he could not confront them directly. Instead he scripted the rant on paper, and had WG member Iron This record it over TeamSpeak. The script and transcript are as follows:

This is the worst crime I have ever seen in [my history of] WG. Someone tell me... what fucking possessed you, to kill your fucking clanmates and friends?!
Incase you didn't notice, I'm PISSED OFF!
I don't give a pinch of SHIT about what Havoc or Krow did. When you raid under him he is your God and if you wanna fucking cry about something you do it afterward!
In WG this is unacceptable. I did NOT work for 2 years to see shitlickers[script: "shitkickers"] like you screw my plans[script: "clan"] over. I am going to give it one shot at getting inside your fucked up little minds, you hear?!
So, you are going to tell me EXACTLY what happened and why you did it, and don't give me that "They deserved it" bullshit. IF you apologise, I might leave it there. If not, I'll FUCK YOU OVER.
I may not be the strongest or most influential, but I'm warning you, don't fuck with me or you will have NOTHING LEFT!!!
Do I make myself fucking clear?

Iron This played the recording to the TeamSpeak Crew, and all involved were immediately banned from WG. His Lordship has noted that Calmax was a particularly troublesome member due to his level of immaturity.

Aftermath

The recording of the TeamSpeak Rant was leaked - presumably by one of the TeamSpeak Crew - and made into a Flash soundboard by an unrelated player known as Pulzar. This was hosted on Imageshack and appears to be lost to history. The almost-complete recording was uploaded to YouTube on 16 September 2006 by legato223, titled WG leader goes NUTS, and featuring an image of Steve Irwin - a jibe at His Lordship's Australian accent. The video has gained over 14,000 views. A higher-quality version was uploaded by theuberelite on 19 July 2010, which contains the entire clip and is more audible.

His Lordship acknowledged the TeamSpeak Rant to be the result of poor leadership, with age as a contributing factor - and considered it to inaccurately portray him as tyrannical. Nonetheless the videos and soundboard of the rant became some of the most infamous pieces of WG-related media, and quotes such as "Nothing left!" and "IDGAPOS" ("I Don't Give A Pinch Of Shit") continue to be used humourously - both in WG and throughout the wider clan community. His Lordship himself has included quotes in war speeches[1] and WG's theme song, The Guardian Power.

In October 2010, His Lordship was interviewed by Mod Timbo for the October edition of Jagex's Clan Submission blog.[2] In a question about the TeamSpeak Rant, His Lordship responded:

Ok, well, before the readers start Youtubing my rant, I must warn them to turn down their volume and plug in their headphones in case the parents are nearby.
Back in 2005, WG was on a PK trip, and we got backstabbed by a bunch of disgruntled WG and ex-WG... and I mean massively barraged to death.
They were Americans mostly and I was Australian, so I came up with the brilliant idea of recording a rant to be played back to them later. Well, it became an instant hit and led to my sudden fame... but for all the wrong reasons. In retrospect, I shouldn't have been so stupid but I'm still glad, because it makes a lot of people laugh - even myself!
