1. Introduction (By His Lordship)

Thank you for taking the time to mark the very first council written report. You will find that the report is more substantial, and it shall be featuring on our website from now on.

It has been a voyage of tremendous growth and friendship that we have walked these last few days. We find ourselves reflecting back on the steps we have taken for the last two weeks. The clan has come to far, and we have all strengthened the friendships that already existed, as well as made new ones. We are pleased to welcome back our very own Dne Madstar, Dsgames2003 and our very own Bigtex2k3.

It is on that note that I would like to quote Bigtex2k3 on a phrase that really touched me.

"Trust is gained in inches and lost in miles"

And how very true it is. This clan is inched its way forward to victory and success. We cannot let our recent successes cloud our judgement. A single member could break the bonds in this clan, so we must continue to exercise caution in what we do.

We have reached our last frontier. We must raise our standards once more as we take on the biggest PKing clans in Runescape, slowly, not immediately, and make antiPKing a true rival of PKing.

I have every confidence that this clan will grow far more than anyone could expect. Look after each other. Treat each other with dignity. Before we challenge the world of Runescape, we must first challenge ourselves to be better people.

Good luck on your voyage Wilderness Guardians.

2. Maturity (By Wildflame110)

Maturity as a whole is yet on the rise. Most forums apart from the king's court are empty of spam and Palidore is taking care of those few incidents with admirable patience. Congratulations to Palidore.

Punctuality is still a problem on raids, however it is not as significant as some members may make it out to be. At the last raid I attended only three people showed up late and only one of those three turned up unprepared. If we can get those last few people ready to rumble in time, this problem will vanish entirely.

Otherwise, I can conclude that all immaturity problems are gradually being worn down, as younger and newer members are all learning their boundaries of responsible behaviours and acting accordingly.

3. Events

Events have been generally enjoyable. Our main concern is lack of organisation. I remind you once more, teamspeak will infinitely increase your chances of survival and you enjoyment.

The talking has been very well controlled and we are maintaining our efficiency, but there is still room for improvement. A reminder that on raids, you may only talk about raids. I will also say that from now on you must minimise your talking about level 40 wilderness. You may talk more and more as we go deeper.

Whenever we meet another clan in the deep wilderness we can almost ALWAYS beat them, and 80% of the time we do. The other 20% is those clans who outnumber and out-level us, and coming across one of those is simply bad luck. It does not accurately reflect our strength.

In regard to preparation, I normally remind my contact list of an upcoming raid. There are some raids where I can't do that, so please remember the 4 raid times. And be prepared. Nothing is worse than holding up the clan because you are unprepared.

Also, Palidore's talkers list idea has come into effect. Raid leaders will now write down the names of people who wander off or spam and put ticks next to them. The list will then be given to me and I will speak to the clan member in a NON THREATENING way. It is not people's faults that they forget not to talk. Everyone does it and we should be forgiven.

Also, please take screenshots of events. I like to have different views of a raid. And be creative 🙂. You can tweak the colours a bit to make it look more interesting or maybe add text.

Attendance is fine, we're getting about 16-20 people on each raid, which is what I like to call the controllable level, basically where I know who's with us and who's not, and also we can talk a bit more and be less formal because there's only a small crowd. And with that number we can wipe out most other clans in the wilderness... But it would be nice to see more people. I want to see if we can maintain the maturity level with a bigger group.

so, don't be scared to bring friends. We like friends on raids... but not too much. If they are thinking about joining I think you should only let them come to 3 raids to make their decisions. If they are in another clan, once a month would be a good rule.

4. Changes and Ideas (By WIldflame110)

The introduction of the Council Member rank (though technically it is classed as Secondary Leader rank) had been overall a huge success. It has been time for an expansion of the leadership of WG for at least the past two or three months, though after the Noricle / Rick Hamm debacle I can understand why Lordy chose to delay this necessary action for a little longer.

Otherwise, this new report system is not necessarily the best way for the Wilderness Guardians to recognise where they are progressing, but since I cannot suggest any better idea myself, it will work fairly well for the time being.

The updated clan site is slightly more appealing to the eye, and the extensive photo album must now be the cause of the massive drain on the website's bandwidth. At least we are getting a lot of publicity.

5. New Members and Advertising (By His Lordship)

For February 05 we used 2.18 gigs of our 3 gig limit, which is great, because it means we're getting a few hundred visitors every month and we've already used 290 megs for March.

Most people at the moment are joining their friends from friends, because we aren't advertising as much. With the new council in place I guess I can. I have about 15 members waiting to come in, and I'll be letting in about 8 of them. Please keep watch for any players who are unsatisfied with PKing clans and offer them our site.

I'll work on the advertising.

Most new members are finding their stay satisfactory, like most of our older members. I'm very pleased about this and I would like to thank the clan for their wonderful support toward the newer members.

6. Member Happiness (By Wildflame110, edited By His Lordship)

Only a couple of members have left recently, and those for either clashes with real life or because the clan simply does not suit their interests, not because of a hostile reception or a clash with the ideals of the clan. That is good news, very good news.

No obvious fights are going on between members, and so I can declare that member happiness, in general, is pretty good.

Aussiearrow has recently been upset at Metalic King and I believe that it is quite in our capacity to put this behind us. AUssiearrow has his reasons, and Metalic King has his reasons. It was mature of them to put their hatred aside for the raid. Please learn to get along. You are both nice people.

In regard to Rat Tormango and Holly, Holly has chosen to leave the clan, therefore Rat Tormango has decided to stay with WG and is enjoying his time here.

7. Leadership and the Council (By Palidore)

Well, as you guys can see, the council/leadership have been working hard, trying to ease work off of His Lordships shoulders. We have been letting in new members, writing new rules, and keeping an eye on possible future moderators. So don't be surprised if you see the council making new rules to help get raids more organized, new post ranks, possibly moving the crown to a higher amount, and add newer ranks before it, new smilies, and lots of new members!

In the past two weeks, several deserving members have been promoted. I know lots of people who are deserving of a promo, but haven't applied, so fill out a form, and go for it!

A brief preview of our hopeful to do list are:
Getting new mods
Recognizing the people who follow rules
Improve our raid strategies
Add new ranks
Getting more members
Improve our non- wilderness activities
Having more events with our fellow allies
Getting on a friendly stance with the revolution

8. Diplomacy (By Palidore)

Well, diplomacy section has been relatively quiet.
Some alliances that were taken into consideration was Dragonwood, although it didn't work out. Some things the council and leaders have been doing behind the scenes, is trying to get an alliance with the revolution. Despite our efforts, the alliance is not looking good anymore, because of certain members who are still not eye level with Rick yet. But hopefully, if everyone is willing to put aside your differences, one day we might be looking towards an alliances, and looking back and this and laugh about it.

As for wars, we are pretty much taking it easy. As everyone may or may not have heard, we are pretty much on a no war streak, and wont be having another war for at least another 1-2 months, but keep training hard, so we'll be effective at future raids and wars!

Also, be expecting eventually more events with our allies, so we can strengthen our friendships!

9. Strength and Power (By Oaktownrules)

Lately our raids have ended on bad notes. We run into big clans, or even other clans of same strength as us (KoD). Our wilderness morale has been relatively low, due to the number of deaths on raids.

We need much more strict raids. No more unnecessary talking, fooling around, running ahead. And please. LISTEN TO THE RAID LEADER. We are implementing new rules and harsher penalties for rule breakers. We dont have the high levels out there, so we need intelligence. We need full cooperation from everyone.

The clan is making considerable amounts of money, due to the increased production of our members. Many of us have levelled many non-combat skills and made money for ourselves. The clan bank is receiving a steady stream of donations as well.

10. AntiPking (By Anincent)

I don't know if I can write much about this seeing as I am only able to attend the Member's Raid now. But in the raids that I've been present, I have realised that some of the people that are invited to attend our raids seem to forget that we are an anti-pking clan, so they attack people that they see without first checking whether they have a skull or not. This causes other people to follow in attacking that person. A few innocents have died because of this, but otherwise, I don't think that many innocents have been dying because of us.

11. Clan Production (By Anincent)

I see that there are several people sharing their skills in the Clan Production forum.
I have recently updated the Wilderness Guardians High Scores. I only changed the levels of people who were previously on the list, and added people that are on my friends list that have the requirements to be on the list. I deleted some names of people that are no longer in our clan, and lastly reordered the names in order of level and experience.
Our clan has no smithers in the WG High Scores, so I think we are in need of more smithing. This also has something to do with the self sufficiency of the clan. We don't have any high level smithers, so we cannot make good armour within our clan. The marketplace seems to be in good order: lots of people buying and selling.

12. Forum Cleanliness (By Palidore)

The forums have definitely got better! There has been a pinch of flaming, but definitely better than before. The immaturity on forums is almost 100% satisfactory! Good job on that guys!

The forum moderators are still working hard, but its been pretty ok spam wise.

The forums are getting active, with a current record of 37 people on at the same time, and about an average of 100-300 post a day! So cmon guys, get active, post more often, and make the new members welcome!

I know many of you want to become an accomplished mage. Here is the perfect guide with each spell explained.

Find out where to post a topic!! I know the mods do a great job but take some burden off their shoulders and follow the guide here.

Please check the calendar as well! There are many fun events there! Stay active by going to events!

14. Other Details (By Anincent and His Lordship)

The Death List seems pretty long, and has many names that are there that aren't really that important to respond to.

Also, we've not given out a medal, apart from the one given to Flame Reece for being Member of the month.

I can tell you now that a medal will be coming out along with the member for March, who, happens to be Palidore.

We've not received any big donations, and the clan bank isn't being put to good use.
Lordship will be starting that up again to make sure it works. We must remember that the clan bank CAN be used right before raids but it is not recommended. The clan bank does not keep capes.

With a council, more promotions can be considered, and I'm glad that members are not asking for promotions simply because they can. They are spacing their ranks out well.

Ratings: (By Oaktownrules and His Lordship)

My clan rating: 70/100

We have done very well in battling immaturity, but our wilderness follies have landed us a 70. If everyone followed instructions and does well training, we could very well see this rating go 85+.

The comparison rating: 42

I daresay we are in the top 42 clans as an estimate. Lets see that get into the top 20 over the next few months. It will be hard, but we can do it.
