Death Jesters (DJ) was a RuneScape 2 clan founded by The Vicount in 2005. DJ was the first exodus of The Synergy, and the first second-generation relative of the Wilderness Guardians. DJ experienced only moderate success, and had fallen into inactivity by 2006.

Plans for DJ began as early as October or November 2004, when Syn council member The Vicount began preparing to found a new clan. Given that Syn was mainly American-based, The Vicount wanted a clan with events more suitable for European members. The clan's forums were created and the name "Death Jesters" was chosen. The Vicount informed Syn leader Eragon Cd of his plans, but chose to remain in Syn for a few more months. Eragon Cd is believed to have been accepting of the proposal.

DJ were an honourable clan, and adopted their ancestors' ARPK policies. By 1 March 2005 they had approximately 30 members with an average combat level in the 80s, and hosted several PK trips and other events per week.[2] DJ was also known to have been one of the six clans which helped reform The Federation in May 2005, making them an indirect ally of WG.
Not much else is known about DJ's history, and no copies of their forums have been archived. A post on the SD forums from 2008 claims that DJ had been inactive since 2006[3], and The Vicount had retired from RuneScape.[4] Shadower2000 would go on to join SD, and had returned to Syn by May 2007.[5]
Trivia
- DJ's ranking system was significantly more creative than the standards at the time - instead of "Leader", The Vicount's rank was "Chapter Master", and the rank for banned members was "Joke".[6]
- DJ also required an interview with potential new members as part of their application process - a concept which WG themselves adopted several years later.
