2016 was the thirteenth complete year of the Wilderness Guardians in RuneScape 3 and Old-School RuneScape, as well as the second and last year of DarkScape.
Summary
In January 2016, WG made the transition from IRC and TeamSpeak over to the new Discord platform. Changes to the PvP aspect of WG were trialled, including gear regulations and an increase in requirements. The clan also made an effort to expand out into other platforms such as Twitch streaming. A downside of 2016 was the closure of DarkScape - a game variant in which WG had become one of the strongest clans with over 500 mmebers. However, PvP levels remained healthy in OSRS, and WG, Vanguard, and Red Blade Hunters formed the Justice Alliance in order to compete with larger forces.
