2003 was the year in which the Wilderness Guardians was first established. It was the third and final year of RuneScape Classic, and the first year of RuneScape 2.

- His Lordship begins playing RuneScape.[1]
August
- 3 August - Vio begins playing RuneScape.
December
- His Lordship is PKed while collecting runes at the Dark Warriors' Fortress.
- December 6 - His Lordship writes Read this if you hate PKers on the Rune Village fansite, and founds the PK PKs clan; the name is changed to Wilderness Guardians shortly afterwards.
- December 7 - WG forms an alliance with The Sabres.
- December 8 - WG hits the 30 member mark.
- December 19 - WG joins The Federation.
- December 28 - Sum41xx is appointed Co-Leader.
