2005 was the second full year of the Wilderness Guardians, and the first full year of the RuneScape 2 era.

January
WG and Legends Legion battle against Rivendell, 16 January 2005.
- January 2 - His Lordship resumes leadership of WG after Myst01 steps down, and the Honoured Member and Trusted Member ranks are introduced.
- January 3 - WG allies with Legends Legion.
- January 7 - The 2004 Anniversary ends.
- January 9 - The Rune Outlaws fail to show up for war, and WG claims a win by default.
- January 10 - Concerns are made about WG members leaving to join The Revolution, and talks with Noricle are planned[1].
- January 12 - The Requirements are raised to 80+ Combat, and WG and The Synergy agree to distance themselves.
- January 16 - WG and LL are victorious in a large-scale war against Rivendell.
- January 20 - The clan's P2P Home world of 27 is decided.
- January 22 - A fun war with The Unbreakables is organised.
- January 28 - New PK trip rules are put into place.
- January 29 - The fun war with The Unbreakables takes place.
- January 30 - Write2brandy is reported to be alive.
March
- March 6 - The Emeritus rank is introduced.
April
- April 23 - WG fights the Rune Outlaws a third time, and the war is crashed by Afroclan and Demonic Legends.
