2005 was the second full year of the Wilderness Guardians, and the first full year of the RuneScape 2 era.

January
WG and Legends Legion battle against Rivendell, 16 January 2005.
- January 2 - The Honoured Member and Trusted Member ranks are introduced[1], and Rick Hamm leaves to join The Revolution.[2]
- January 3 - His Lordship resumes leadership of WG along with Myst01[3], and WG allies with Legends Legion.[4]
- January 7 - The 2004 Anniversary ends.
- January 9 - The Rune Outlaws fail to show up for war, and WG claims a win by default.[5].
- January 10 - Concerns are made about WG members leaving to join TR, and talks with Noricle are planned.[6]
- January 11 - A number of changes are made, including: democratic voting for new orders, members of TR being allowed to return to WG, moving away from world 20, and members being allowed to apply for promotions.[7]
- January 12 - The Requirements are raised to 80+ Combat by January 25[8], and WG and TR agree to distance themselves.[9]
- January 16 - WG and LL are victorious in a large-scale war against Rivendell.[10]
- January 20 - The clan's P2P Home world of 27 is decided[11], and a second clan census is held.[12]
- January 22 - A fun war with The Unbreakables is organised.[13]
- January 28 - New PK trip rules are put into place.
- January 29 - The fun war with The Unbreakables takes place - TU is cleared, but a draw is agreed due to WG members in improper gear.[14]

- February 5 - Flame Reece is the Member of the Month[16].
- February 11 - His Lordship compiles one of the first recorded histories of WG[17].
- February 19 - The second clan census results were published[18].
- February 22 - WG adopts the Team-17 Cape for P2P PK trips[19].
- February 28 - The first Council is chosen, comprising of His Lordship, Palidore, Wildflame110, Oaktownrules, and Anincent - all of which took the "Secondary Leader" position[20].
March
- March 5 - The newly-formed Council puts together their first Council Report[21].
- March 6 - The Emeritus rank is introduced.
- March 8 - Plans for a Requirements raise to 85+ combat, and a junior clan, the Descendant Guardians, were announced[22].
- March 20 - The Website photo galleries were updated to include "Leader's Choice" images.
- March 24 - Rick Hamm closes The Revolution[23].
- March 27 - A second Council Report is published[24].
April
The Synergy and allies (including WG) fighting the Death Legions and allies, 9 April 2005.
- April 3 - His Lordship announces WG will support The Synergy in a war against the Death Legions[25], Oaktownrules steps down from the Council and takes the rank of Emeritus, and an election for his replacement begins[26].
- April 9 - Syn and allies (including WG) fight DL and allies, in a large-scale and chaotic battle[27].
- April 12 - Wildflame110 gives His Lordship a 1-day forum suspension to ensure he enjoys his vacation[28].
- April 15 - Voting was held for a new Council member[29].
- April 16 - A third war against the Rune Outlaws is scheduled[30].
- April 18 - His Lordship's second Flash Animation for WG is released[31].
- April 23 - The third war against the Rune Outlaws is held, and is crashed by Afroclan and Demonic Legends.
- April 26 - The clan migrates from the S4 Forums to the S10 Forums[32].
May
- May 9 - New clan photos are released for the WG Website.
- May 15 - The reformation of The Federation begins[33]
- May 28 - The Federation forums are opened to WG[34].
June
- June 5 - WG defeats The Unbreakables in an historic battle.
July
WG about to fight Dead on Arrival, 9 July 2005.
- July 9 - WG fights Dead on Arrival in an historic P2P war, using ancient magics for the first time. The war is crashed.
- July 19 - The Website is restored, and creation of a Hall of Fame begins.
- July 20 - The website photo album is restored.
- July 25 - His Lordship steps back from leadership duties to focus on his studies.
- July 28 - WG enrolls in the National Gnomeball League held by the Fansite RuneScape Community.
August
- August 1 - The Descendant Guardians opens for the first time, a month earlier than expected.
- August 18 - Anincent steps down from the Council, and is replaced by Jesusislord6 and Jezzamon.
- August 24 - The partially-completed Hall of Fame is added to the clan Website.
September
- September 1 - The Website receives an update.
- September 17 - WG declares war against DE (full name not known).
- September 22 - The website receives an update after 3 weeks.
- September 25 - WG takes part in The Grand Federation Raid[35].
- September 30 - Rick Hamm withdraws WG from The Federation[36].
October
- October 1 - 'The' Clan declares war on WG and Fear, and the allies accept.
- October 15 - WG and Fear fight 'The' Clan - 'The' wins, and the Requirements are increased to 95+ Combat.
- October 18 - The Website receives a major update.
- October 21 - A miniwar against nMe is held, but no winner is determined.
November
- November 24 - A F2P fun war against an unknown opponent is scheduled.
December
A majority of December 2005 events are interprested from a single Internet Archive capture of the S10 Forums Important Announcements section.
- December 8 - A war is scheduled against Chivalry of Legends.
- December 9 - A new TeamSpeak server is announced.
- December 15 - The war against CL is cancelled due to hostilities.
- December 16 - A miniwar against ST (full name unknown) is scheduled.
- December 19 - New Requirements were set.
- December 22 - A war against the Black Dragons is scheduled for January 2006.
- December 23 - His Lordship's RuneScape account is hacked, leading to the loss of 60,000,000 coins worth of items to be used for the Anniversary.
